✨Take a limo to the port? WHY NOT?!✨🚘

Our most recent trip was all about going big or going home! 😂

As I’ve mentioned, this was the first time our kids had ever gone to Disney with their cousins, and we wanted to make it as special as possible for everyone. It was also a milestone trip because we were celebrating their Poppy’s 70th birthday, so we decided to really lean into the celebration!

One thing we kept secret from the kids until the very last minute? Instead of taking our traditional Disney Cruise Line transfers to the port, we booked a STRETCH LIMO! 🎉

Now, Disney Cruise Line transfers are almost always my top recommendation for getting to the port. They’re convenient, reliable, and there are some great perks that come with using them.

BUT… there are definitely situations where private transportation can make more sense.

For example, if you have a larger group and can split the cost of a private transfer between everyone, it can often be less expensive than Disney transfers.

In our case, we decided to spend just a little bit more and go with the stretch limousine as an extra special treat. And let me tell you… the kids felt pretty darn special rolling up to the port in our “sick ride.” 😂😎

One thing we did give up by choosing the limo was an earlier port arrival time that can come with Disney Cruise Line transportation.

Thankfully, we had someone in each stateroom who was either Platinum or Gold Castaway status, so we were still able to snag decent arrival times and it really wasn’t a big deal for us.

It was worth it for the surprise.
It was worth it for the excitement.
And it was absolutely worth seeing the kids’ faces when that limo pulled up. ❤️

A huge shoutout to Happy Limo, who took excellent care of us and got our whole crew to the port safely and on time! 🚘✨

Sometimes the little extras are what turn a great vacation into a core memory. 💙

And yes, I’ll always help you figure out when Disney transportation makes the most sense and when it might be worth thinking outside the box! 😉

Apparently, I was wrong about yesterday being my last coffee of vacation. 😂☕️

Our flight was cancelled after we had already boarded and were ready to head home, so… here we are in Montréal for an unexpected extra day!

Honestly, I try to look at experiences like this as opportunities to learn. I travel a LOT, and every unexpected situation gives me something new that I can take away and share with my clients. Because when something like this happens to you, I want to be able to help guide you through it as best I can.

I don’t typically book flights because I truly believe you’re usually better off booking your flights directly with the airline. But that doesn’t mean you’re on your own when something goes wrong. When my clients run into flight-related issues, they know they can reach out to me for guidance and support.

And while I may not be able to control the cancellation, I can help you figure out what questions to ask, what options to consider, and how to navigate the situation. ❤️

The silver lining? I was able to work from my hotel room this morning and get some Disney Cruises booked for my Silver Castaway Club clients who were waiting! 🚢✨

General booking opens next week, and I’ll be here, coffee in hand, ready to help when those sailings open to the public!

If you’re hoping to book one of the new Disney Cruise Line itineraries and haven’t filled out a request form yet, let me know and I can send one your way.

One extra vacation day wasn’t exactly what we planned… but I’m making the most of it! ☕️✈️🚢

🌧️ Rainy port day? Disney Cruise Line has you covered… literally! 😂☔️

Did you know that on rainy port days, Disney Cruise Line provides ponchos in both kids’ AND adult sizes, plus towels for guests heading off the ship?

Because apparently Disney really does think of everything! 🙌🏻

It’s just one of those little touches that makes cruising so easy. You don’t have to worry about packing every possible thing “just in case”. When the weather decides to change its mind, Disney is ready to help you out.

Now… if only I had known it was going to rain BEFORE I got off the ship and taken one. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I may know a lot about Disney cruising, but clearly I still have a few things to learn myself!

☔️ Cruise tip: If you see rain in the forecast on a port day, check with the crew before heading off the ship. You may not need to bring your own poncho at all!

Enjoying one final coffee that I didn’t have to make for myself while we wait for the final leg of our flight home. ☕️✈️

What a phenomenal vacation this has been! It was the perfect mix of fun, adventure, relaxation, a little chaos 😂, and so much laughter…. with plenty of amazing food sprinkled in along the way.

Some of our adventures were carefully planned, some happened completely on the fly, and honestly, some of the best memories came from the moments we never could have planned. ❤️

One of my favourite parts of this trip was watching my kids experience it all with their cousins. They loved cruising together for the first time and were SO excited to show them their favourite things.Ffrom their must-do activities to the little things they’ve come to love about cruising. Seeing a vacation through their eyes made it even more special for me.

And while I’m definitely ready to go home to see our dog Bruno, I’m also already thinking about the next adventure. 😉 That’s the problem with a great vacation… it tends to make you want to plan another one!

I’m still officially out of office until next week because we have family coming to visit, but I’ll be easing back into work over the weekend and catching up on messages and requests as I can.

Thank you SO much for your patience while I’ve been away. I truly appreciate it! ❤️

Now… who wants to hear all about the trip? What would you like me to share first? The cruise, the parks, the food, the tips, or anything else? 👀

As always, if you’re dreaming about your own Disney adventure while I’m sitting here drinking my last vacation coffee… you know where to find me. ☕️✨

☕️ Disney Cruise Coffee Tip for My Fellow Caffeine Addicts! ☕️

I would be lying if I said the free coffee on the pool deck or the buffet on a Disney Cruise was great. 😂 I drink it in a pinch, but when I really need a GOOD cup of coffee, I head to Cove Café!

Every Disney Cruise ship has a specialty coffee spot in the adults-only area, and while these coffees aren’t included in your cruise fare, they’re actually cheaper than the average Starbucks drink. And here’s a little bonus: ask for a punch card! Buy 5 specialty coffees and your 6th is FREE! ☕️🙌

Cove Café is also a lovely little spot to relax with comfy chairs, air conditioning and an assortment of FREE pastries (including Cranberry Bliss bars)! 😍

Now, if you don’t want to spend the extra money on specialty coffee but still want something a little better than the pool-deck coffee, don’t forget about room service! It’s included (just tip the server a dollar or two when they deliver), and I find the coffee is definitely a notch above what you’ll get at the pool deck or buffet.

I’m here for all your Disney Cruise and coffee needs because I understand the importance of remaining caffeinated! 🤣☕️

As a follow-up to my post about the cabanas, here’s a little video tour of our experience! ☀️🌴

I hope you enjoy getting a peek at what our day was like. If you have any questions about the cabanas or the experience, drop them in the comments - I’d be happy to help! 💙

I spent a LOT of money on this cabana… and then the forecast started looking ominous. 😂

We debated canceling, but this was a new experience for us and we figured, we’re already here, let’s give it a try.

Let’s just say… I am 1,000,000% glad we did. 🙌🏻

As veteran Disney cruisers, we’ve been to Castaway Cay many times. We’ve reached the point where sometimes we don’t bother getting off the ship anymore. So I wasn’t sure a cabana would really be worth it for us.

Well…. IT. WAS!

When we arrived in port, it was cloudy with lightning in the distance, but it was too late to cancel, so we headed to our cabana anyway.

We booked one of the new Mickey & Minnie family cabanas, located right next to Serenity Bay adult beach. This section is family-friendly and open for kids of all ages.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away.

John walked in and said, “This is my new favourite port stop, and we are NEVER coming here again without a cabana.” 😂

The water was calm, warm (but not too warm) and perfectly clear. 🌊

The cabana came with SO many perks:
✨ Floats and tubes
✨ Snorkel equipment
✨ Food and snacks
✨ Stocked beverage fridge
✨ Fresh fruit tray
✨ Chilled towels
✨ 1 hour of complimentary bike rental per person
✨ A cabana host who checks in and makes sure you have everything you need

You can even use the tablet in the cabana to contact your stateroom host if you need something.

I chose Cabana #4 because of its proximity to the buffet and bathrooms, and it was the PERFECT location. Was it worth spending hours going down rabbit holes figuring out which cabana to choose? 😂 Absolutely.

We spent hours floating in the water, relaxing in the cabana, reading, playing chess and just enjoying time together as a family.

Lunch was the same food offered at the other BBQ locations, but having it right nearby made it so easy. Our beach area was also incredibly quiet, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas.

And somehow, despite that scary forecast, the weather ended up cooperating beautifully!

What started as “Oh man, I hope we didn’t waste a ton of money” turned into one of our favourite Castaway Cay experiences ever.

10/10 recommend a cabana! 💙

And apparently, John has decided this is the ONLY way we’re doing Castaway Cay from now on…. who am I to argue with him?! 😉

🚢✨ Aft staterooms are one of my favourite hidden gems ✨🚢

Take a look at this aft stateroom on the Disney Fantasy! 👀

Not only did we have extra space inside, but that HUGE verandah?! 😍 It’s the perfect spot to sit back, relax and enjoy the views as we sail.

And this is exactly why having a travel planner who knows Disney Cruise Line can make such a difference. ❤️

I know where to look for those little hidden gems that you might not find just by clicking through the available rooms.

Finding the right stateroom, knowing which locations have those little extras, and helping you choose the room that fits YOUR family? That’s part of what you get when you book with me. ✨

Because sometimes the best rooms aren’t the obvious ones… you just have to know where to look! 😉

🌧️ Rain day = BONUS PARK DAY! ✨

Today was supposed to be a Disney Springs morning followed by Deluxe Extended Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom from 6–8. But the rain had other plans. 😂

It was POURING from about 4–7, and once it finally slowed to a drizzle, most of the family decided to make it a chill evening at the resort.

But then the kids asked if we could go to Magic Kingdom… and if you ever hear me turn down park time, please check on me. 😂

We made it to the park about two hours before closing and somehow packed in SO much:

🏴‍☠️ Pirates of the Caribbean
🍦 Dole Whip
🎠 Barnstormer
🌿 Then we saw that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure had reopened, so we backtracked and hopped on
⛰️ Big Thunder Mountain… where we actually dried off a little!
🚀 Then we BOOTED it over to TRON (all while listening to Happily Ever After and taking in the fireworks from behind the castle while on the move) …and rode it twice back-to-back!

Now I’m exhausted and may seriously regret my life choices when I have to wake up tomorrow morning and hit the parks again… 😂

But you only live once, right?

And tonight was one of those completely unplanned Disney nights that the kids will probably remember forever. ❤️

Sometimes the best park days are the ones you never planned. ✨

I’m having SO much fun at the parks with our extended family! It’s keeping me super busy, but in the very best way. ❤️

Yesterday, we absolutely nailed Hollywood Studios. 🎬✨

We slept in and didn’t even arrive until around 10:45 AM, but with a solid Lightning Lane strategy, we managed to get on every ride we wanted. The only exception was Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, which went down during our Lightning Lane window. Disney gave us a Lightning Lane to use another time, so we’ll catch it when we’re back tomorrow!

We enjoyed lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In, one of my kiddos’ favourites, then left the park around 4 PM for a break before heading back around 8:30 for Fantasmic.

And of course, I couldn’t watch Fantasmic without a carrot cake from the Trolley Car Café…. Priorities!

To top it all off, I got the best-in-car score on Toy Story Mania 🎯 I’m definitely taking the win on that one!

We did pay for Lightning Lanes, and for us, Hollywood Studios was where we got the most value from them. We accomplished so much without feeling like we had to spend the entire day in the park.

The key? Have a plan, but leave room for flexibility. You don’t have to rope drop and stay until close to have an amazing Disney day. Sometimes a little strategy makes all the difference! ❤️
