Birdwatchingandmore

Birdwatchingandmore A fun and informative place to share your birding experiences and/or ask questions. Enjoy. Welcome to my page for www.birdwatchingandmore.com.

It’s a place for me to share my love of wild birds and my birdwatching experiences. I have met some of the nicest people birdwatching over the years. Hopefully you will share some of your experiences too. This is a place for novice birdwatchers and experts alike. You can find information on North American birds and places to find them. I hope to provide tips on birdwatching whether it’s in your ba

ckyard or out on the trail. I’ll share my ideas on bird feeding, housing our feathered friends, and maybe discuss some of the products that are available out there like birding software, the best field guide for identification, binoculars and scopes and maybe even what to wear while you’re out in the field. I hope to help others enjoy birdwatching as much as my family and I do. Happy Birdwatching!

Hawk that's been hanging around. At least I'm saving on bird seed because they're all hiding.

Finally got a hummer at my feeder after I moved it into the open. It was under a tree.

What an unusual summer season with Carolina Wrens and House Wrens. My little female hummer finally came back. The Baltimore Orioles can empty my hummer feeder very quickly but they're lovely to watch. And somewhere high in the Manitoba Maple behind us is an owl. Haven't seen it but hear it at night. That probably explains why there are no mice around.

Our little female hummer has not returned this year. 😪

Did you know the average life span of a blue Jay is 7 years but they can live up to 20 in right situations.

I've seen it but didn't hear it until tonight. It's a yellow throated vireo. Yeah.

Always the last pair of the day. Mr and Mrs Cardinal.
