🎓 Growing Who We Are – and investing in the next generation
This is one of those Aquila moments that makes us smile.

Our Aquila Educational Awards were created to support the children of our full-time team members as they pursue post-secondary education – because we believe investing in people extends beyond the people who work with us every day.
This year, we're so happy to celebrate three recipients:

Ben Timmons receives his fourth Aquila Educational Award as he heads into his final year of Biochemistry at UNB, graduating next May.

Emma Timmons begins her second year at UNB Saint John, studying Biopsychology.

And Charlotte Colpitts starts an exciting new chapter, entering her first year in the Great Books program at St. Thomas University.

Each year, we ask recipients to tell us why the award matters to them. Their words say it better than we ever could:

We’re ready to set sail into our exciting 2026 cruise season! ✨️🤩

Last week, our team gathered for our mid‑season kick‑off meeting to ensure everyone is aligned, prepared, and energized for what’s ahead. Our Aquilamazing tour guides, drivers, cruise managers, transport team, sales crew, and every single person involved are geared up to welcome a wonderfully busy season.

Tomorrow, we begin with the Norwegian Breakaway docking at the Marco Polo Cruise Terminal, and from there, we’ll have back‑to‑back ships most days all the way until November 5th.

We couldn’t be more excited to be at the pier greeting passengers and showcasing the beauty, history, and charm that our beloved Saint John City has to offer.

A big thank you to Fundy Woods Campground & Cottages for letting our trolleys sleep over this weekend! The trolleys are running shuttles for the Sea Shanty Festival in St Martins all weekend. Still lots of great music to enjoy!

Some people see a schedule. Samantha MacVey sees the people who make it happen. 🌊

Sam has been with Aquila since 2016, managing Human Resources for our seasonal team — recruiting and training tour guides and keeping scheduling on track through our busiest cruise days. She's also one of four Cruise Managers organizing guest experiences in Saint John.

She knows Saint John and the Bay of Fundy well and that love for home shows up in how she welcomes people to it. Backed by a background in HR and tourism, Sam is focused on supporting the team so Aquila keeps delivering the standard of excellence it's known for.
