STORY #150/150:
Canada 150!
150 years ago in 1867 Canada officially became a country. New Brunswick was one of the four provinces to create the Canadian Confederation, named the Dominion of Canada, along with Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec. After the British North America Act became law in 1867, those British colonies would be recognized as an independent nation. We didn’t stop celebrating after Canada Day, but all year long with events taking place across this vast and amazing country we call home.

STORY #147/150:
Saint John Ale House Cask Ale
Made exclusively for the Saint John Ale House by Moosehead Breweries, this beer is a traditional English style ale. Because of the yeast present in the unfiltered beer, a second fermentation occurs while in the wooden cask, similar to the traditional method of making Champagne. Carbonation occurs from the second fermentation process and not injected while it’s being poured. Try this unique and traditional ale at the Saint John Ale House.

STORY #140/150:
Explorer Man
Holding the spyglass is our Loyalist explorer, nicknamed the Explorer Man. He represents our British seafaring heritage in Saint John. The city was settled in 1783 as thousands left America following the War of Independence. Those Loyalists set up communities around the harbour and when the population grew in size, they merged forming the City of Saint John.
