Salty Bonez Shack Haunted Walk returns to 606 Cusheon Lake Rd, this year with a Cemetery Stroll theme, running October 23, 24, 30 & 31, open 5 to 9 pm each night. Wander through after dark, bring the kids, and bring your nerve all for free!

Every year they collect donations for the SPCA: cash, food, and supplies are all gratefully accepted at the door.

A cozy season tradition built by community, for community.

Ask Stefani her favourite thing about life in the Southern Gulf Islands, and she'll tell you it's the nature that surrounds her here: no city noise, no bustle, none of the stress that comes with bigger places. It's a feeling we think defines these islands.

There's no shortage of things to do here, but her favourite is simple. Drive the winding roads, find a wooden marker pointing to a beach or a trail, and walk down to see what's waiting at the end.

It's how she spends her time on Pender and across the islands when she's not working, exploring the next great view down an island road.

The rest of her time goes into Omdl Coastal, hand-carved block prints pressed into fabric, one unique piece at a time.

📍 Mount Galiano, Galiano Island.
A steep climb through dry coastal forest opens to bluff views over Active Pass, one of the best perches in the Southern Gulf Islands, offering panoramic views of the Southern Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands. Well-marked trail, dogs welcome on leash, and worth timing for a clear afternoon!

Rocky forest, arbutus, and mossy bluffs lead to sweeping views over Vancouver Island and the Salish Sea. Choose from two routes, dogs welcome on leash, and the summit makes a fine spot for a picnic this fall!
