Water Restriction information for the Southern Gulf Islands:

Mandatory water restrictions are in effect across the Electoral Areas, including Salt Spring Island and the Southern Gulf Islands. The following water systems have moved to higher restrictions:

Stage 1 to Stage 2
• Magic Lake Estates (Pender)
• Surfside Park Estates (Mayne)
• Sticks Allison (Galiano)

Stage 2 to Stage 3
• Lyall Harbour/Boot Cove (Saturna)
• Skana Water (Mayne)

Small drinking water systems are especially vulnerable during dry periods, and many local sources remain low. Water use restrictions vary by system and must be followed.

⚠️ Important updates for visitors heading to Saturna Island this summer:

⛽ No fuel available
There are currently no fuel sales on Saturna Island. If you’re travelling by vehicle, please arrive with a full tank of gas.
🏕️ Limited camping at Narvaez Bay
This is a small campground with only 7 campsites. We strongly recommend making a reservation in advance: https://reservation.pc.gc.ca
🚰 Be prepared
Expect a backcountry experience—bring your own water and pack out all garbage, as there are no services on site.
🔥 No campfires
Campfires are not permitted on Parks Canada land on Saturna Island.
