Here's what's happening this week 🍂

• From October 15–25, catch Inner Elder at the BackStage Stage at Persephone Theatre. Created and performed by Michelle Thrush and presented by Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre in partnership with Persephone Theatre, the production follows a woman on a journey through memory, identity, and healing.

• On October 16, celebrate 90 Years of the Ukrainian Museum of Canada - National, Saskatoon. The evening features live music, curated charcuterie, desserts, w**e and signature cocktails, along with access to the museum's newest exhibitions. The celebrations continue with the museum's 90th Anniversary Public Open House on October 17.

• On October 17, join the Halloween Dentalium Earrings Workshop at Wanuskewin Heritage Park, where participants will create Halloween-themed dentalium earrings with Plains Cree artist Jewel Head.

• Also on October 17, visit the Prairie Fire Alpacas Open House and meet the alpacas, browse alpaca yarns and handmade goods, and explore the farm store.

Did you know sheep are still used to help care for Saskatchewan's grasslands?

We joined Meewasin for their annual Grazing Dinner at Beaver Creek Conservation Area, a unique experience that combines prairie conservation, local food, incredible views, and the most impressive dog. Enjoy a guided hike, a three-course meal from .saskatoon, and a live sheep and stock dog demonstration, all with exclusive after-hours access to Beaver Creek.

Country Music Week may be over, but we're still soaking it all in ✨

The CCMA Awards brought country music fans and artists from across Canada to Saskatoon for an unforgettable week.

The city came alive with live music, packed venues, and plenty of purple bandanas. From local businesses rolling out country-inspired specials to fans exploring the city between shows, the energy was everywhere.

October is here!! There are lots of ways to embrace fall in Saskatoon this week, from local markets and spooky experiences to movie nights and friendly competition.

🎃 Crossmount Spooky Domes are back at Crossmount C***r Company. Available Fridays through Sundays in October, each dome is transformed with spooky décor and eerie Halloween ambiance for a one-of-a-kind experience. Choose your dome, choose your treats, and get ready for a spooky night!

🧩 On Friday evenings, join the Speed Puzzling & Ramen – 500-Piece Team Puzzle Race at Topzpin. Teams of four race to complete a 500-piece puzzle while enjoying a ramen combo, with prizes up for grabs.

🎬 On October 9, head to The Broadway Theatre for Twilight – A Drunken Cinema Presented by High Key Brewing Co. (19+), an interactive screening of the cult-favourite vampire film.

🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a time for reflection, learning, and community. Here are some meaningful ways you can take part:

From September 29–30, the Every Child Matters Pow Wow, hosted by the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC) at SaskTel Centre, brings together dancers, drummers, singers, vendors, and community members for two days of culture, ceremony, and connection. Grand Entry takes place at 12 PM and 6 PM each day.

On September 30, take part in the 3rd Annual Orange Shirt Day Run/Walk at Victoria Park. Organized by Indigenous Runner, the event honours children who never returned home from residential schools while supporting survivors and their families. Participants can choose from 2.15 km, 5 km, and 10 km routes along the Meewasin Trail.

Also on September 30, join the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Gathering at Wanuskewin Heritage Park. Supported by Nutrien, the day includes dance and drum presentations, guided valley walks, fiddle music from Jordan Daniels, community art with Leah Dorion, birch bark basket making with Lyndon Linklater, archaeology activities, and a keynote presentation by Randy Morin.

When he’s not touring or putting on COOPALOOZA FESTIVAL, Saskatoon singer-songwriter Cooper Tropeau is spending time checking out Resurrected Records & RY ☆ in the Drinkle Building No. 3, catching a show (or performing) at Coors Event Centre, and grabbing a bite at Original Joe’s.

Catch Cooper Tropeau & The Broken Bones at Coors Event Centre on October 24, and keep an ear out for their new single, You Know Me, dropping October 30.
