Gunson Guiding & Outfitting GGO operates in Northern British Columbia and Saskatchewan. In B.C. Most of the area is accessible only by float plane or horseback.

the Guide Territory stretched from North Slope of the Rocky Mountains, to the Yukon border. The area provides excellent habitat for big Moose, Stone Sheep, Mountain Caribou, Mountain Goats, Black & Grizzly Bear. In Saskatchewan, we operate along a couple wilderness rivers, accessible by ATV and, boat and... mostly by Canoe. The river is home to excellent Moose, Black Bear, and whitetail deer.

What’s included in a Saskatchewan black bear hunt with Gunson Guiding & Outfitting
This is more than a hunt. It’s a fully guided wilderness experience built for serious hunters who want authenticity, access, and opportunity.

Your hunt includes professional guides, all licenses and tags, pre-baited stands with trail camera monitoring, and daily transport to and from your sites by ATV and/or boat. You’ll stay in remote, rustic camps, enjoy hearty home-cooked meals, and hunt in small groups of just 3–6 hunters for a more focused experience.

From the moment you arrive to the final stages of your harvest, every detail is handled. Optional fishing opportunities for walleye and northern pike are available depending on camp.

Meet Jake and Cecilia Gunson, the heart and soul behind Gunson Guiding and Outfitting! A passionate duo with over 30 years of experience, they’ve been guiding hunters and adventurers through the wilds of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.

🦌 Jake's Story: Fishing since birth and hunting moose since the age of 12, Jake has vast experience, hunting and fishing, guiding and outfitting - throughout western Canada.

🎯 Cecilia's Story: A lifelong outdoors enthusiast, Cecilia grew up hunting, fishing, and camping with her family in the Northwest Territories. She started working with Jake sheep hunting camps in the Yukon - in 1997.

Jake & Cecilia first started outfitting in 2001 with an archery-only whitetail outfit in Manitoba. In 2011, they jumped in with both feet, and started outfitting in a remote wilderness guide territory on the B.C. - Yukon Border, providing some of the best Moose and Stone Sheep hunting in the country.

🌄 In 2017, they expanded their outfitting into their home province of Saskatchewan, and were soon offering their unique brand of Saskatchewan Wilderness hunts - for black bear, moose, and whitetail hunts. They now offer a variety of moose hunts in Saskatchewan, hunting an area of over 8000 square miles of wilderness.

🎣 A fly-in Fishing camp was recently added to the mix providing a perfect place for a full family getaway.
