There is a whole lot happening at the 43rd Annual Broadway Street Fair presented by BHP, and Curiosity Corner, sponsored by SaskTel, is the place to get hands-on!

Stop by throughout the day for art, science, music, making and a few surprises. Makerspace will be screen-printing tote bags, and the first 100 are FREE! Plus you’ll find face painting, Balloon Fun with Warren, the Saskatchewan Science Centre, Art by the River, SaskTel activities and more.

🎸 Keep an eye out for the CCMA giant guitar and a special performance at 12:00 PM, too!

Curiosity Corner is also home to our Broadway Community Stage, where the community gets a chance to perform. We have Sam Medernach at 1:00 PM and Neil Stubbs at 3:00 PM, with the rest of the stage available first come, first served. Have a song, poem, comedy bit or another family-friendly talent you want to share? Stop by the Broadway BID booth near Main Street to access the microphone and Bluetooth speaker and take your turn on the stage. 🎤

There will be plenty happening here throughout the day, so make sure Curiosity Corner is one of your Street Fair stops!

Come hungry. Seriously. 🌮🍕🍦🥟☕

The 43rd Annual Broadway Street Fair presented by BHP is bringing nearly 30 food trucks and food vendors to the Broadway District on Saturday, September 12!

This year’s food lineup has a little bit of everything: African, Jamaican, Vietnamese and Middle Eastern flavours, pizza, poutine, spring rolls, sandwiches, baked goods, cakes, sweets, ice cream, cotton candy, coffee, chai, refreshing drinks and plenty more to discover.

Street Fair is one of those days when the hardest decision might be figuring out what to eat first. 😋 Come with friends, share a few things, try something you haven’t had before and leave room for dessert, because there are a lot of options!

And remember, Broadway’s restaurants, cafés and other food businesses will also be open throughout the district, so there will be even more places to grab a bite while you explore.

On Saturday, September 12, Broadway Avenue will be filled with vendors, performers, food, activities and thousands of people, but at the heart of the day are the businesses that make the Broadway District what it is all year long.

Nearly 50 Broadway merchants are joining us outside for the 43rd Annual Broadway Street Fair presented by BHP, with sidewalk displays, promotions, specials, activities and more! 🎉

Whether you’ve been meaning to stop into a shop you’ve never visited, stock up at an old favourite, grab something delicious, discover a local artist or maker, or just wander Broadway and see what you find, Street Fair is one of the best days of the year to explore the district.

And don’t forget: these are only the merchants coming outside! Many more Broadway shops, restaurants, cafés and businesses will be open inside their regular storefronts throughout the day.

Summer on Broadway is never quiet, and this year we were incredibly lucky to have Clarenz Portades along for the ride.

As our Summer Marketing Coordinator, Clarenz brought so much personality, creativity and talent to Broadway BID’s social media. If you followed along this summer, you probably saw some of his work without even realizing it.

He helped bring our Patio Guide to life, worked on the Hidden Gift Guide, jumped into our Hot Takes content, got comfortable in front of the camera, and helped make Broadway’s social media feel a little more fun, spontaneous and human.

And that is only the part everyone got to see.

Behind the scenes, Clarenz has been the kind of teammate you hope to have. He is incredibly talented beyond his years, thoughtful, kind, courteous and always willing to jump in and help - whether that meant grabbing a camera, trying something new for social, helping with an event, or rolling with whatever slightly chaotic idea happened to come up that day.

He has also been part of the Broadway team for more than one summer, which makes saying goodbye this time a little harder. We’ve watched his confidence and creativity grow, and we’re very excited to see where all of that talent takes him next.

Clarenz is heading to the University of Saskatchewan for his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and while his summer with us has officially wrapped up, there is still a chance you might spot him making a surprise appearance at the Broadway Street Fair if his school schedule allows. 👀

Thank you for everything, Clarenz. Broadway was better, funnier and much more interesting with you here this summer.

Good luck at USask, we can’t wait to see what you do next!

And, of course, we hope you find some time between classes to keep allegedly reflecting. 😉

For one unforgettable day this September, the entire Broadway District comes alive.

Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM for the 43rd Annual Broadway Street Fair presented by BHP. This event is more than a festival – it’s a celebration of the people, creativity, cultures, businesses, and community spirit that make Broadway one of Saskatoon’s most vibrant districts.

One of the activities kids of all ages can enjoy is our Kids Kingdom powered by Affinity Credit Union:

A healthy local economy is about more than what happens at the till. On Broadway, it is also built in all the little ways people show up for each other.

It can look like a business donating food to a community event, a volunteer giving up a Saturday afternoon, an organization lending tables or equipment, an artist bringing something unexpected to the district, or a neighbour simply making room for someone else at the table.

Not every kind of value comes with a receipt. Sometimes value looks like a conversation between strangers. Sometimes it is a meal shared with someone who might not otherwise have one. Sometimes it is a local business saying, “We can help with that.” Sometimes it is people choosing to spend their time, energy and money close to home. That sense of reciprocity is part of what makes Broadway feel like Broadway.

We are proud to be a business district full of independent shops, restaurants, artists, organizations, gathering spaces, patios, performances and people who care deeply about this neighbourhood. Supporting a strong local economy means supporting all of those connections too.

The Broadway Community Table is one small example of that in action.

Businesses, community organizations, volunteers and neighbours contribute in different ways, and everyone is invited to come together over a shared meal. There is no requirement to buy anything, bring anything or give anything back. Just come as you are and take a seat.

Our next Broadway Community Table is September 26 at Grace-Westminster United Church. Because sometimes building a stronger business district starts with something as simple as sharing a table.
