Bounced around for the past few days with J***y. Within hours of his flight landing from Toronto we had a rod bent lol. Multiples lakes/ rivers in one day can be routine up here. Whatever we need to do, they’re biting somewhere!

Sometimes I forget about how lucky I am to have such a thriving rainbow fishery within 5 minutes of my house, I wanted to share that unique side of Algoma with my friends from back home. Every summer I look forward to having friends come up that I don’t get to see often. The hardest part is deciding where to take them! The St Mary’s River is definetely a must when you visit Sault Ste Marie.

Such an awesome day yesterday with my clients Matt, Matty and Kailey visiting from Cincinnati. They absolutely crushed the Smallmouth! There’s something about being able to share how special Algoma is to families visiting Canada. So grateful I was able to share these memories with some fantastic people.

Hey everyone!

MonkWorks Fishing will be offering fully guided ice fishing trips this winter with a unique spin. Half day trips, full day trips and overnight ice camping trips (all equipment provided) are available for reservation today.

On another note, now that the ice fishing season is approaching fast..I am happy to share that every Monkworks Fishing clients will have access to Monkworks Custom Ice rods. I started building mainly because I was never satisfied with the options I had through the mainstream brands. Hand made handles, sensitive full carbon blanks and drastically longer than the industry standard. Rods range between 36” and 48” with customizations available.
