Nothing has been sweeter than the relief felt receiving this picture from our neighbours. We’re whole, but our hearts are with all of those in Scotch Creek and all of BC that have lost so much. We know we wouldn’t have our place if it weren’t for the incredible firefighters and residents that stayed to fight. We can’t wait to get back and help rebuild the community we love.

Can you spot the difference?

One of the first updates we made to the house was trading in a precarious ladder for an incredibly sturdy (and beautiful!) full set of stairs. The loft has now been enjoyed by many - not just the brave and balanced.

We know from experience that having everyone at the table for dinner is a luxury for a big group - so we went to work to find the table of all tables. It took a community effort to get it in place but oh so worth it!

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tasting wine in the deliciously cool Recline Ridge Winery in Tappen, a short drive from Scotch Creek. The wine was crisp and refreshing and the building has a wonderful story. Highly recommend you check it out if you’re in the area!
