My apologies for not posting more frequently.

I had a fabulous day in the forest today with my dearest friend. We were mushrooming and had good luck with some Gypsy, Winter Chanthrelles, Hawkswing, Pines and a couple of beautiful King Boletes. Found in mid elevation mixed Douglas Fir / Hemlock.

Some kind soul :), has brought it to my attention that the website is currently down.

We are looking into the problem at the moment and will keep you updated.

I just returned from my annual fishing trip ( at a social distance) to Campbell River to fish the pink salmon run. As always it did not disappoint and many fine fish were caught and released.

If you have never fished this run before it I'd highly recommend it. ( late July - August) There is a fly-fishing only section of the river too.

I stayed at the historic Haig Brown House, the former residence of conservationist and writer Roderick Haig Brown. It is now a B & B and right on the river. haig-brown.bc.ca

We are open for business once again at a social distance. You will need to provide your own vechicle & PP equipment.

Max of 4 persons/tour.

All loan equipment will be thoroughly sanitized between users.

Want to get out into the wild? This will probably be our last chance this season for Oyster Mushrooms.

Saturday June 1 11.00 - 1.00 PM

A 2 hour exploration and forage for oyster mushrooms. Moderate hike on a well maintained trail, 40 mins round trip.

Learn their habitat, features and identifying them. Stephen will cook some up at the end of the tour for you to try.

Meet at Strait coffee shop in Wilson Creek Plaza.
