We're thrilled to announce that the 2026 Garden & Art Tour Line-Up is now LIVE! 🌸

This year's tour will feature an incredible line-up of over 15 local artists showcasing a wide variety of creative works, from paintings and pottery to woodworking, photography, textiles, jewelry, and more. You'll have the opportunity to meet the artists, learn about their creative process, and discover unique handmade pieces available for purchase.

More experiences, demonstrations, gardens, and entertainment will be announced in the coming weeks. Follow to stay in the know!

1. City of Selkirk - Family-friendly celebration featuring festive activities, food vendors, live entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display.

2. Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site - Take part in historical demonstrations and family-friendly activities, then end the day with cake and O Canada at the Big House!

3. Canada Day Celebrations at Matlock - A fun-filled afternoon for the whole family with live music, cake, a bouncy castle, and outdoor games.

🎣 Free Family Fishing Weekend in Manitoba – June 12-14, 2026! 🎣

No fishing licence required! Family Fishing Weekend is the perfect time to cast your reel and enjoy Red River North's incredible fishing spots. Must follow all angler regulations and rules from the 2026 Manitoba Anglers Guide. Link in bio.

Here’s how we recommend spending your weekend:
🐟 St. Andrews Lock & Dam - Head to Lockport Heritage Park and make your way down to the riverbank (perfect for anyone without a boat!). Arrive early to grab a good spot and try your luck at catching a legendary Red River catfish!

🐟 Selkirk Park - Cast a line right from the riverbank at Selkirk Park, where the Red River flows alongside the park. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy the scenery, and see what’s biting. Close to lots of amenities!

🚤Upgrade your fishing experience – Book a floating dock or guided catfish tour with Red River Cats. They’ll provide everything you need for a day on the water.

A community favourite run by volunteers, featuring gently used clothing for all ages along with books, board games, dishes, crafts, and more. Every purchase supports local organizations. Please note this location is cash only.

Proceeds support Nova House programs and services. Shop a fantastic assortment of clothing, kitchenware, books, DVDs, and jewellery.

Looking for a summer adventure? Explore one of Manitoba’s most unique trails.

The Brokenhead Wetland Interpretive Trail is a 2.3 km fully accessible boardwalk trail through one of the rarest wetland ecosystems in North America. Along the way, you'll find interpretive signs that highlight the deep Indigenous significance of the area.

Tip: Now through mid-June is the perfect time to visit, with lady slippers, native orchids, and even carnivorous plants in full bloom!

Washrooms, picnic tables & plenty of parking are available at the trail.

When visiting this trail, please respect this sacred space:
🚫 No pets, bikes, or off-trail exploring
🌿 Take only photos, leave only footprints
🚫 No littering (Leave behind no trace)
🐻 Be bear aware

Located just off Highway 59, about 5 km north of Scanterbury, MB. Look for the Brokenhead Wetland Interpretive Trail sign on the east side.
