🚨 Princess Cruises just dropped its 2027 plans… and there are FIVE major changes you’re going to want to know about! 🌎🚢
Five big changes are coming. Here they are, starting with the one nobody saw coming.
🏝️ 1. PRINCESS SHIPS ARE GOING TO CELEBRATION KEY
If you follow cruise news, you know Celebration Key as Carnival's destination on Grand Bahama Island, opened in 2025.
Princess ships are now going there too.
📅 Star Princess makes the first Princess call on November 1, 2026
🚢 Regal Princess follows later that same month
🗓️ Several more Princess ships visit throughout 2027
What's waiting there: white-sand beaches, enormous freshwater lagoons, cabanas, and more than 30 places to eat and drink — plus the adults-only Pearl Cove Beach Club with its own infinity pool and private beach.
It'll appear across Caribbean itineraries alongside Princess Cays, the line's own private destination. Two private beach days on one sailing is a genuinely different proposition.
🧊 2. THE BIGGEST ALASKA SEASON PRINCESS HAS EVER RUN
2026 was already a record year. 2027 goes further:

🗺️ 17 different itineraries
⚓ Sailing from Seattle, Vancouver, Whittier, San Francisco and Los Angeles
Star Princess returns for her second Alaska season with seven-night Inside Passage sailings roundtrip from Seattle, and Royal Princess runs seven-night voyages from Seattle as well.
Ports include Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Sitka and Icy Strait Point, with scenic cruising at Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord and Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier.
There are also 28 cruisetour options pairing a sailing with land time, including Princess wilderness lodges and Denali National Park.
Worth noting for West Coast cruisers: Los Angeles as an Alaska departure port is unusual.
🗾 3. PRINCESS IS DOUBLING ITS JAPAN FLEET
Diamond Princess has anchored Princess's Japan program for years. In 2027 she's joined by Sapphire Princess.
Two ships means:

📍 45 destinations
🌏 Six countries
Sailings are timed around Japan's biggest seasons and cultural events, and many combine Japan with other parts of Asia — which means seeing a lot without stitching together a complicated multi-stop land trip yourself.
It's the largest Japan program Princess has ever run.
🌑 4. TWO SHIPS POSITIONED FOR A TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE
On August 2, 2027, Princess will have two ships in position for totality.
🇮🇹 Enchanted Princess — 14 nights roundtrip from Rome
🇬🇧 Sky Princess — 14 nights roundtrip from Southampton
Both depart July 24, with eclipse-themed programming onboard.
There's a real logic to watching an eclipse from a ship. On land you're locked to one spot and one weather forecast. A ship can reposition toward clear sky.
Both sailings are part of a European program spanning more than 200 voyages to 108 destinations across 31 countries.
🌎 5. A 129-NIGHT VOYAGE AROUND THE PACIFIC
And then there's this one.
Coral Princess leaves Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2027 on the World Cruise Grand Circle Pacific:

📍 61 destinations
🌍 20 countries across three continents
🌙 Nine late-night or overnight calls, including an overnight in Hong Kong
The route runs through the Panama Canal, then Hawaii, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Japan and Alaska. Princess says it's the most destination-packed itinerary the line has ever offered.
If four months is too much, there are shorter versions: 114 nights roundtrip from Los Angeles, 110 nights from Los Angeles to Vancouver, or individual regional segments.
