Took a break from the computer screen on Friday afternoon to explore our current “neighborhood” which means wine tasting! We weren’t expecting such a delicious lunch though - the portions are huge! We shared two flights and all the wines were delicious. Bonus points to them for donating a portion of the sales for the Chester flights and wine to pet rescues (good excuse to try them - if you need an excuse 😂) 🥂🍷

I’ve been balancing working 7 days a week (it’s super busy season!) with roadtripping down the west coast of the US. We’re taking it a little slow since I need to keep up with all the vacation planning (for others lol) but we’ve been able to enjoy the views, local food and drinks, scenic drives and local sights as well. Molly adventure - we took her to her first winery! She was patient while we did a wine tasting and only made a few comments (barks). Our server also had a corgi and they became friends. The winery is owned by Erni Loosen who makes my favorite German Rieslings (Dr Loosen). It was such a pleasant afternoon! 🍷 Back to work today though - have a lot of trips to plan (for others) ✈️

Exploring more of Vancouver Island - we drove up to the cute town of Sidney which is on the seashore. We spent time in their really nice aquarium before walking along the water. It was getting dark (and chilly) so we headed into one of the several recommended restaurants and had a lovely meal with a view over the marina (didn’t take any photos of that part though). Vancouver island continues to surprise and delight us. 🇨🇦🐙🐟🪼

I’ve dabbled in many (many) arts and crafts projects but this was my first time making candles! Super fun afternoon picking out the cocktail inspired scents of our liking and then we got to make the candle. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Oh and we got to pick our “vessel” too (of course mine is flowery!). My scent mixture was a mix of Garden Mojito and Negroni with a splash of Bourbon and a tiny bit of Cucumber. Thank you .botanicals (and for the invite!)
