This morning our Facebook marketplace purchase took us to the town of Millet! We stopped in at The Old Bank Cafe and I must say it was AMAZING!!

🎉 Lacombe Days Parade 2026 🎉

What a fantastic morning celebrating everything that makes our community so special! ❤️💙

From colourful floats and classic cars to marching groups, local businesses, community organizations, and plenty of candy for the kids, the Lacombe Days Parade was filled with smiles from start to finish. It was wonderful to see so many families lining the streets, cheering on the participants and celebrating together. The parade is one of the highlights of the annual Lacombe Days weekend, bringing our community together for a weekend of fun and connection.

The Ponoka Stampede Parade brought downtown Ponoka to life today with colourful floats, marching bands, beautiful horses, and plenty of western spirit. 🤠🐴 It was a fantastic way to kick off another exciting week of rodeo, community, and family fun. There’s nothing quite like Stampede season in Alberta!

A vintage bowling alley hidden inside the hotel — and honestly, it might’ve been one of the kids’ favourite parts of the trip 😂
