BIRCH LEAF COTTAGES-
We have two lovely cottages available to rent side by side. They are located a short 2 minute walk to the beach, downtown, and a great mini-golf centre. If rented together, we offer a discount. Aspen Cottage (red door): This cozy cottage offers 3 bedrooms and a bunkie with bunk beds. It
can sleep up to 8 guests plus two in the bunkie. The 2 bathrooms are newly renovated, one being a 4 piece ensuite. The modern kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, water cooler, new stove, and all cooking utensils and dishware. Outside there is a propane BBQ and a picnic table on the wrap around deck. Two tree swings for the kids to enjoy, muskoka chairs and a fire pit await you in the front yard. Jasper Cottage (blue door) This charming cottage offers 2 bedrooms and a separate porch that can be closed for privacy for a third bedroom to sleep 8 altogether. There is a screened in porch and a newly renovated bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, water cooler and new stove, and includes all kitchen utensils and dishware. There is a flat screen TV and a DVD player. Outside you will find a propane BBQ, 2 picnic tables, front and back porch and fire pit. Check in time is 3 and check out time is 11. We are pet friendly however, it is $10/day/pet/cottage to accommodate the extra cleaning time it takes after you leave. Also, we ask that you dispose of your own garbage and recycling at the end of the week. However, if you prefer to leave it and have us get rid of it, we charge $10/bag with a maximum of 3 bags/cottage. Both these extra fees we require up front. Provided:
-Kitchen necessities such as plates, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave etc.
-Clothes line
-Full propane tank – should you run out during your stay it is your responsibility to fill it again and at your cost. This can be done at many locations in Sauble Beach – Millers Home Hardware is one such place.
-Initial roll of toilet paper.
-1 plug in tower fan in both cottages (plus ceiling fan in kitchen in both cottages as well in the master bedroom in Aspen)
Bring:
-Pillows
-Your own sheets, blankets
-Aspen has a queen bed, a double bed and a bunk bed with a twin on top and a double on the bottom. Living room is a pull out couch and the bunk beds in the Bunkie are twin on top and double on the bottom.
-Jasper has a queen bed, a bunk bed with a double mattress on the bottom and twin on top, sofa bed which is a queen and a double futon.
-Campfire wood – there are many places in Sauble Beach that sell it so you can pick it up once you are in town if you prefer
-Dish towels, tea towels
-Bath and beach towels
-Toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex
-Drinking water
-iPod docking station – or whatever device you have to play music, if you so wish. Please note the Aspen cottage does have a radio with a CD player and tape deck. Both cottages have a T.V. but no cable. They are hooked up to a DVD player so you can watch movies. Both cottages have Wi-Fi and SMART TV
We require a $500 non-refundable deposit cheque/cottage at time of booking and a signed rental contract. The remainder of your balance is due 30 days prior to your check in date. At that time we would also require a separate cheque of $500/cottage as a damage deposit which I hold in trust and return to you or shred (which ever you prefer) after you check out and upon inspection of the cottage. Both cottages are available for rent from June to September. High season is July and August and can only rent on a weekly basis, Friday to Friday. Check in is 3 p.m. and checkout is 11 a.m unless otherwise arranged with owners.
