Sailing is full of dreamers. If that’s you, stop reading now 😉.

If you looked up sailing in the dictionary, the definition would probably be one word: work.

There’s the daily maintenance, the weekly maintenance, the monthly maintenance, the annual maintenance… and then the once-in-a-lifetime maintenance.

This spring, we decided it was time for one of those projects: dropping the mast.

The glamorous side of sailing? Not always sunsets and sea spray. Sometimes it’s grease, tools, checklists, and wondering why bolts suddenly become invisible the moment you need them.

But behind every smooth sail is a whole lot of work no one sees. And honestly… we wouldn’t have it any other way.
