It's a wonderful Tourism Attraction; the fishery is right there, World Class Geology over there, Lighthouse over there, SPM Ferry is there, coastal views over there, amazing sunsets there, BUT...... PILES OF GARBAGE FALL INTO THE SEA right here? We have to FIX FORTUNE HEAD!

Environment and Climate Change Minister MHA Chris Tibbs, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is looking at options.

An Environmental Engineering Consultant delivered a Site Assessment Report, dated April 2025, with recommended solutions to bring this Impacted Site to Unconditional Closure.
