The Community Heritage Team is actively seeking stories about Surrey’s past – happy, challenging and everything in between. The Team is adding these to the Memory Map, an online tool for people to read untold local history. It preserves memories and creates a picture of our community’s heritage for the future.

This weekend, celebrate arts, culture and heritage across the Peninsula! The entire park will be activated from 12-4pm Saturday and Sunday by the Arts Council of Surrey with activities at Historic Stewart Farm and Totest Aleng: Indigenous Learning House. A complimentary shuttle service will operate throughout the weekend, providing convenient transportation between venues in White Rock and South Surrey along two dedicated routes. The Welcome Centre will be closed on Friday as we host a camp for the pro-d day. BUT we are open all weekend and we have a new exhibit in the hall. See Ahead of Her Time, an exhibit about Elinor Dunsmuir, her music and her unwillingness to fit the social norms of her time. See it Tuesday to Sunday from 12-4pm in Stewart Hall. Except tomorrow. 😉
