The deeper you dive, the more air you consume.

As depth increases, water pressure increases. That means each breath you take uses more compressed air from your tank, so you’ll go through your air supply faster.


You should hold your breath while ascending.

You should never hold your breath while ascending. As you go up, air in your lungs expands. Holding your breath can cause serious lung injuries — always breathe continuously and ascend slowly.


You can fly immediately after scuba diving.


FALSE
After diving, excess nitrogen remains in your body. Flying too soon can increase the risk of decompression sickness due to cabin pressure changes. Divers should wait the recommended surface interval before flying.
