Just a few days ago, we set out for what turned into one of those tours, the kind you talk about for the rest of the week. 😎🐳

We cruised out to Mayne Island, soaked in some serious coastal views, and stopped for lunch at the always, amazing Bennett Bay Bistro.

Then nature put on a show:
🎯 orcas casually gliding past
🦅 An osprey having an intense sushi date with a rockfish
🌊 And that Salish Sea magic that never gets old.

We’re not saying it was the perfect day on the water… but if there were a checklist for that, we pretty much nailed it. 🐳☀️🌊

King Charles and Queen Camilla just touched down in Canada for a two day visit, and it’s more than just a royal hello.

The King is here to deliver the Speech from the Throne, showing the world that Canada is proudly its own sovereign nation with deep roots in the Crown.

He’s planting trees, visiting local communities, and reminding us all how unique Canada truly is.

Let’s not talk about whales for a second…

Sure, the whales are the stars of the show (and trust us, they always deliver), but there’s so much more to soak in on our tours. This isn’t just a “see a whale, turn around” kind of deal.

We’re talking:

🗻 Mount Baker rising on the horizon on a crystal-clear day
⛵️ Sailboats gliding through the shimmering waters
🌊 The stunning Gulf Islands, depending on where the whales are hanging out
🌅 And if you're joining us for a later tour…you might just catch the sky lighting up with one of those drop-dead gorgeous sunsets

Last week’s tour had everything, tail flukes, sea lion sass, and ocean views that made us all forget about our to-do lists.

🐋 There’s a common misconception that whale watching boats are aggressive, racing through the ocean, trying to get as close as possible to the whales.

But in reality, especially here at White Rock Sea Tours, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

We’re not out there to chase wildlife, we’re here to protect it. Everything we do is guided by respect, regulations, and a deep love for the ocean and its incredible creatures.

🧭 We approach responsibly, never blocking or cutting off whales

Whale, it’s Monday again…

These sea lions get it, maxed out, touched out, peopled out… just straight up done by 8:15 AM.

10/10 would hit snooze on life and flop dramatically on a buoy too.

Meanwhile, we’re working… but when your “office” includes whales, waves, and sunshine, it’s hard to complain. 🐋🌊🌮

Our Story

White Rock Sea Tours provides thrilling whale watching adventures and harbour tours amidst stunning scenery and wildlife. We also provide services that includes water taxi, charters, memorials, towing and marine assistance. Andrew Newman started White Rock Sea Tours from a passion to share the wonders of the ocean with families, tourists, and groups in the local community. He hopes to better connect people with their natural legacy through spectacular coastal journeys, close encounters with animals, conservation, and adventure, "turning moments into memories." We are the only dedicated whale-watching company operating directly from White Rock, British Columbia. We are a member of the Pacific Whale Watch Association (PWWA). The PWWA is a group of Canadian and American whale-watching companies committed to research, education and responsible wildlife viewing. The PWWA supports scientific research on Southern Resident Killer Whales to increase awareness, understanding and conservation. Our Zodiac Captains have years of experience and are serving or former members of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue. They are Transport Canada certified to deal with safe navigation, first aid and marine emergency situations. Our staff are passionate about marine wildlife and conservation. They keep up-to-date with the latest research in marine mammal research and conservation and are happy to share their knowledge.
