Winter Bluegrass Festival & PEI Bluegrass Old Time Music

Spring has arrived and time to start traveling!! No better way to begin a traveling season than with Music!
March 20 - Join Nancy’s Tours to picturesque PEI to attend Winter Bluegrass Festival sponsored by PEI Bluegrass Old Time Music Society. A weekend you don’t want to miss! The PEI winter Bluegrass Festival celebrating over 80 years of bluegrass music will pay tribute to the genre’s roots, from Bill Monroe’s landmark 1945 appearance on Grand Ole Opry stage to Bluegrass’s influence on contemporary music. Throughout the weekend we will enjoy performances that highlight the history and the evolution of music.
The Tim O’Brien Band will be anchoring a stellar lineup including - Old man Luedecke, Blue Meadow, The Janet McGarry Band, Shane Pendergast Trio, Bluegrass Tradition, The McMillan’s, Camp Boys, The Stiff Family Band to mention a few multi talented artist.
Upon arrival at the luxuries Delta Hotel located on Charlottetown waterfront we will be greeted and welcomed by aBluegrass Ambassador to es**rt us to the main stage for an afternoon of musical stage performances plus workshops leading us to an evening of first class Bluegrass jam sessions.
March 21 - Our musical day will begin by enjoying a mouth watering Gospel Brunch hosted by the Stiff Family. Following our Sunday’s Gospel Bluegrass morning we will begin to say farewell to our many new musical friends and return to our homes from a fantastic musical Weekend!

Christmas At The Station

Join Nancy’s Tours and travel to York County to McAdam Historical Train Station to attend their annual “Christmas at the Station“! Visiting the Historic Heritage railway station all decorated and lit beautifully for Christmas - it is a magical experience! We will be treated with a hot cup of cider and each room is decorated by a non-profit organization residents of McAdam and local businesses. While in charming McAdam, we will be treated to a noon hour lunch, plus a visit to the Christmas craft fair and a delicious Christmas Hot Turkey Dinner at the near by Lion’s Club before returning home.
