A Christmas message from your friendly bus driver Steve!
We want to wish you all a warm heart felt Merry Christmas.
As we sit here drinking this all so delightful Candy cane white hot chocolate, we are reflecting on what this past year has brought to Taste and See Tours.
When the Pandemic first started, I took the approach that it will be over in a month or so and we will continue on as normal. But, that was unfortunately not the case.
So we decided in the meantime as we wait to go on Tours again to completely renovate our basement and turn it into an Air BNB. This turned out to be quite an undertaking, yet quite rewarding project. Over the summer and currently we are meeting wonderful people just like all of you that travel with us.
After the renovations were complete, I decided I should go try the construction industry driving a dump truck. Well all I will say is my passion is driving a bus.
I do want to thank the company who were generous enough to let me jump aboard for the season though.
After the construction season we decided to pull out the craft skills and make signs, so we advertised a couple on Facebook and all of a sudden I had a pencil behind my ear and glasses hanging on the bridge of my nose to see my measurements. Meanwhile Janice jumped into the floral world at Sobeys working on floral displays, loving every minute of it.
It has been a year of adjustments, and a lot of thinking outside the box.
Next year we hope to see you, slowly doing a few local tours and praying the Atlantic bubble will open, so we can take you to our favourite place, Newfoundland.
