It was great to get this agreement signed and we look forward to supporting our partners as they shape the future of Mi’kmaw cultural tourism.

Yesterday marked a milestone for Unama'ki – Cape Breton Island.

Destination Cape Breton and the Nova Scotia Indigenous Tourism Enterprise Network (NSITEN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding — a shared commitment to growing authentic Mi'kmaw L'Nu tourism experiences across the Island, grounded in the principles of Two-Eyed Seeing / Etuaptmumk.

More support for Mi'kmaw L'Nu tourism businesses. Deeper collaboration across our industry. A more authentic destination for everyone who visits.

The Great Cape Breton Clean Up is an annual, municipality-wide litter cleanup that brings people together to care for the places we live, work and play. This Island is our home, our workplace and our daily inspiration, and keeping it beautiful is something of which we're proud!

Thank you to everyone across Cape Breton Regional Municipality and beyond who will roll up their sleeves this weekend. Every bag collected is a small act of love for this incredible place we call home.
