Today, members of the Destination Cape Breton team took part in the Great Cape Breton Clean Up Eve, tidying up litter around our office on Keltic Drive!

The Great Cape Breton Clean Up is an annual, municipality-wide litter cleanup that brings people together to care for the places we live, work and play. This Island is our home, our workplace and our daily inspiration, and keeping it beautiful is something of which we're proud!

Thank you to everyone across Cape Breton Regional Municipality and beyond who will roll up their sleeves this weekend. Every bag collected is a small act of love for this incredible place we call home.

It's National Tourism Week!

Tourism is more than an industry on Cape Breton Island-Unama’ki — it’s the heartbeat of our Island. With 5,600 jobs, 740 businesses and $465 million in annual revenue, tourism fuels our economy, sustains our communities and celebrates our culture.

They say a place is only as good as its people—and if that’s the case, Cape Breton Island-Unama’ki is truly second to none. 🌊✨
