A message from the ROAM office to all of our friends and travelers at this difficult time of COVID-19:
As people around the world are experiencing sickness, worry and financial pressure, we want to remind you to stay positive. It has always been our passion and joy to connect people to places, so when we are ordered to isolate at home, it is a tough one for us. But as people practice "social distancing" at home, many things happen:
-We immediately think of our loved ones, in a way that we may have been "to busy" to think of before - and are grateful for them.
-We try to secure the essential resources - and realize that we really have more than what we need - and are grateful for where we live.
-We scroll through old photos and rekindle the feelings we felt on trips - and are grateful these places exist.
-We look to the future and focus on how we want things to look like moving forward - and we are grateful that we are all in this together.
ROAM is grateful for all of you that have traveled with us throughout the years and we want to do whatever we can to make the best of this challenging time.
For anyone who has booked travel with us for summer 2020 and would like to defer your travel for a year – you got it. We are remaining optimistic that our government and health care providers will get this virus under control (with your cooperation), and that we will be able to safely operate some trips this coming season. The wilderness often feels like the safest and healthiest place to be but we understand that travel through airports is required to get there and we are sensitive to those concerns. We look forward to sharing our favourites places with you again soon.
Sincerely,
Ashley & Brian
