Hello everyone! With the warmer weather, we're slowly coming out of hibernation and looking forward to our *first official full summer* at The Lonesome Lake House! Our summer 2024 books are now OPEN, and you can inquire to secure your spot to make unforgettable memories on the beautiful Manitoulin Island. ☀️️

After last years extensive renovations and meticulous preparation to open the home to welcome our first guests in the late summer, this upcoming summer is all about enjoying the weather, the peaceful lake, and the bright and spacious home (indoors and out) – and we’re so happy we get to share it with YOU! ✨

A big thank you to the talented Emily Margaret Photographs who captured our rooms, property and amenities last year in order for us to be able to show you the magic we created as a family.

Interested? Here's a short list of some of the best parts of our 8-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 16-person rental:

- private lakefront with dock, seating area, inflatable SUP board, kayak and canoe

⛅️ The sun isn't out, but the drone is ⛅️

So excited to share some aerial footage of The Lonesome Lake House, plus a little sneak peak of some of the indoor spaces that we have to offer! Today we're thankful for talented family members and a To-Do list that just keeps on getting shorter ☺️

Well tonight we had our first guests 😄😉 Over 70 Canada geese found a resting spot at the Lonesome Lake House and enjoyed a swim at our private waterfront tonight. As much as we tried to get our little one to whisper so we wouldn’t scare them away, he liked showing them his new favourite word. It was such a cool experience to see that we decided to skip bathtime. We love making these kind of memories at the lake house and we hope you will too! 💙

Are you an explore-the-lake-by-paddle kind of person, or a relax on the floating island kind of person? COMING SOON: The Lonesome Lake House on South Bay!

We are excited to announce that our newly renovated 8-bedroom, 2-bathroom lake house on South Bay is in the final stages of getting ready for you to enjoy. This vacation rental is complete with everything you need to take full advantage of your time on Manitoulin Island, such as a private waterfront, pool, hot tub, sauna, BBQ & smoker, fire pit area with Adirondack chairs, large patio with outdoor sectional, lawn games, canoe, kayaks, and SUP board.

Also, for your enjoyment is a large separate bunkie, with a pool table, poker table, 75-inch TV and large sectional for family movie nights. Spacious and welcoming, it truly is the perfect place to gather with loved ones or to explore the character-filled property by your lonesome.

Summer rental will be a one-week minimum and off-season months (September to June) will be a three-night minimum.
