Our little North Island town of Port McNeill is desperate for some recreation for children and youth. We don't have a rec centre or a covered pool. They play soccer most seasons in knee deep mud. We have an ice rink and that's about it. For kids not into rink sports, the options are scarce. If anyone with a little surplus funds can help this group of dedicated parents realize their skatepark dream, please contribute!

We are a local group of dedicated community members who wish… Port McNeill Skatepark Committee needs your support for Port McNeill Skate and Bike Park Donation Fund

Woss Lookout is a local favorite. Quick, straight up, lotsa ropes and amazing views going up and coming down. At the top you reach the location of the 1948 fire tower station where people would patrol through the season. A new lookout tower is built for visitors to take in the breathtaking views. ENJOY!

Add this one to your bucket list!

Jump in a kayak or canoe and paddle your way to Raft Cove Provincial Park via the Mack Jack River. This is one truly EPIC adventure!

You can plan to do this one in-and-out with the tides (it is a tidal river) or pack your gear and storm watch a night or two on one of the most beautiful, rugged and remote beaches on North Vancouver Island!

If you have keen eyes you may even spot the red roof of an old trapper’s cabin tucked in the trees along the river bank.

Don’t forget to stop in at Holberg Pitstop General Store as you pass by AND visit the teeny tiny west coast village of Winter Harbour while you’re out that way.
