The "old River View" location mentioned helps local people know where this is. In 2013, we converted it from its previous use as River View Restaurant into its current use Thompson Lodge and Ecotourism Centre!

Its not like this every night but at certain times of year when the sky is clear you can see quite a show!

Recommend checking out some of the scenery in the area by visiting Through Lens Eye Photography (the amazing artists who took this shot) and the Thompson Photography Club!

We can take you out in our 10-seater tour bus, put you up in the only riverfront suites in town, and feed you at the best restaurants or with a BBQ or campfire right in front of the lodge!

Had an awesome time entertaining guests attending the Harm Reduction conference in Thompson Sept 29, 30, and Oct 1!

These pics were taken of the erosion along the north shore of the Burntwood River...goes on for miles. Erosion is just as bad on the south side. We're very excited to hear about Manitoba Hydro taking the initiative and teaming up with MAPS to get the north shore of the Burntwood River cleaned up between the bridge and Manasan Falls! :)

Of course this doesn't stop the erosion so without shoreline protection a little more of Thompson gets washed away every year and the cleanup will never end but its a great step in the right direction!
