We're excited to see the local collaboration between The Meeting Place - Tobermory and Escarpment Heights Motel to expand
⚡️Westlake E-Bikes⚡️ with two more rental bikes offered at the motel location.

Nick (The E-bikes fleet manager) and Brad (volunteer from TMP) built the station, thanks to Megan, Adam and the staff at Escarpment Heights to help create another easy way for visitors to explore the peninsula.

One of the things we love most about living here is how local businesses work together to make the visitor experience even better. More bikes, more adventures, and one more reason to leave the car behind and discover Tobermory at a slower pace.

Have you explored Tobermory by e-bike yet?

Another reminder of travel intention: stewardship.

To love a place is to help care for it. Yesterday we joined our neighbours for Scrub the Tub, helping pick up litter and doing our small part to keep this beautiful place healthy for everyone who calls it home or comes to explore.

Thank you to Blue Heron Co and DiveLifeTobermory for bringing the community together. Here's to exploring with gratitude and leaving places a little better than we found them.

It's a reminder that small acts, done together, can make a real difference.

When you visit Tobermory, leave nothing behind but footprints—and maybe take a little extra litter with you if you spot it.

Some of the best Tobermory memories are made on the water.

Last week, we joined our friend Mike from for a magical sunset boat tour. Diver, artist, and natural storyteller, he has a way of bringing the bay to life with local history, hidden spots, and tales from beneath the surface.

One of our favourite parts of hosting is connecting guests with people who make this place so special. Travel isn't just about where you go—it's about who you meet along the way. Mike's sunset tour was a reminder that the best local experiences come from people who know and love these waters.

Golden hour, good friends, and Tobermory from the water. Thanks for another unforgettable evening, Mike.

Happy Sunny Tuesday everyone!

At Orange Bicycle, we believe the best journeys happen when everyone feels welcome.

June is Pride Month, and this weekend our neighbours in Owen Sound will gather for the annual Pride Parade and Big Gay Block Party—a celebration of community, belonging, and joy.

As hosts, we've been thinking about what hospitality really means.

It's more than a comfortable bed or a good breakfast. It's creating a place where people can relax, be themselves, and feel at home. Whether you're travelling as a couple, with friends, with family, or on your own, everyone deserves to be greeted with kindness and respect.

Travel has a beautiful way of connecting us with people whose stories might be different from our own. And when we stay curious, open, and welcoming, those connections make our communities stronger.

So this Tuesday, we're raising our coffee mugs to inclusivity, to celebrating our neighbours, and to making room at the table for everyone.

Happy Pride Month. 🌈

Sometimes the best travel experiences aren't on a checklist. They're found behind a small-town storefront.

One of our favourite stops in Lion's Head is

Recently relocated to Main Street Lion's Head, it's part gallery, part workshop, and part creative inspiration. You'll find artwork by local artists, Canadian-made art supplies, handmade gifts, and plenty of reasons to slow down and browse.

This year we're exploring the idea of travelling with intention. Sometimes that means seeking out the places that reflect the heart of a community—the artists, makers, and small business owners who help tell its story.

If you're exploring the Bruce Peninsula this summer, add this one to your list.
Have you visited yet?

We love visiting Earthbound Gardens You never know what you find there! They also have live music on Sundays 2-4. You may run into Brenda, John or Judy during your visit. They're all very knowledgeable and love their job.

If your intention for travel is simply to slow down, make sure to stop by here. Breath and enjoy!

A visit to Earthbound Gardens is a gentle reminder that not every memorable experience needs an itinerary.

Sometimes it's a quiet walk through a garden, a moment of beauty, and the chance to reconnect with nature at your own pace.

These are the moments we often remember most.

Happy Sunny Tuesday everyone!

We continue talking about traveling. What if one of our intentions for travel is connection?

Not just with the places we visit, but with the people we meet along the way.

This week, between the local market and a community walk supporting hospice care, we were reminded that every destination has a heartbeat. It's found in the people, the stories, and the small moments shared together.

The landscapes may draw us in, but it's often the human connections that stay with us long after the trip is over.

What connections have made your travels memorable?

Yesterday we were so glad to be part of the amazing hike and community event for in Owen Sound.

As some of you know mom spent the last few days of her life there and we can't say enough about the amazing work that all the staff do there. The staff wore their shirts in memory of their colleague Rebecca Byers which was taken too young.

They brought the community together yesterday and reminded us how much better and stronger we are together❣️

Thanks so much for your donation. There is still time till the end of June to donate if you haven't done it yet. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/grey-bruce-hospice-foundation/p2p/hike-for-hospice-2026/team/orange-bicycle
