We have been a little quiet on social media while we had an amazing first year with our precious twins that have become such a beautiful part of our expanding family. We are so grateful for our guests, our family and for the wonder that is living in Tofino and being able to share our magical corner of the world with our WILDPOD guests.

BIG NEWS! The Whales have been invited back for our re-opening party this Friday 19th June. We have missed sharing these amazing views and beautiful creatures with our guests. Amazing videos (there were four in total) captured back in February pre lockdown by and .ianson . Best watched with sound for maximum guest excitement, captured from the deck of our WAVE pod. Welcome back whales, welcome back guests, welcome back to magical times and memories that will last a life time. It’s good to be back....

Ashleigh and Pete from WILDPOD here. In light of the Prime Ministers speech yesterday and having many friends spread throughout the world, many of whom are further into the COVID-19 outbreak than we currently are, we feel that now is the time we personally need to take decisive action.

To that end, and with a sad but hopeful heart, WILDPOD will be closing it’s doors to new guests today. This will be until April 1st at this stage but of course we will continue to update as the situation progresses.

While we have a strong desire to support our community economically we feel that supporting the health of our beautiful Tofino family is the most important thing right now.

We wish everyone the best in the coming weeks and look forward to waving to many of our friends on the beach or down a grocery aisle.

MAGICAL! So this happened!!! We are often blessed with Whale sightings from our pods but these beautiful Orcas were so close you could almost touch them. So grateful that guests managed to capture the moment although of course being this close to them in person is an experience they will never forget. We are called ‘WILD’ pod for a reason 😀.
