Towering over 2,000 years old, the Western Red Cedar, ‘The Hanging Garden’, on Meares Island’s Big Tree Trail is one of the largest trees in British Columbia (18 meters wide).

Let our crew take you across to Wanachus-Hilthuu’is Tribal Park, just a 10-minute boat ride from our marina. Once there, explore the Big Tree Trail on your own. Boats run daily on your schedule, just let us know when you’d like to go. Call to book! 778.841.0186

The 15th Annual Tofino Saltwater Classic is just around the corner!
Happening July 4–5, this community fundraiser brings together fishing, live music, family fun, and a whole lot of heart — all in support of local youth and community programs.

🎶 Benefit concert, 🏒 kids' ball hockey, 🐟 derby fishing, 🎁 online auction + more, all at Tofino Resort + Marina

Since 2009, this event has raised over $1 million for local youth and community initiatives. Let’s make this the biggest year yet!

June is National Indigenous History Month, and June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day — a time to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the hiškʷiiʔatḥ (Hesquiaht), ʕaaḥuusʔatḥ (Ahousaht), and ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht) First Nations for the privilege to welcome guests to explore and adventure on their unceded territories. Their deep connection to the land and ocean continues to shape and protect what makes Clayoquot Sound so special.

We encourage everyone—locals and visitors alike—to learn more about the stories, stewardship, and sovereignty of the Nations who live here.

World Refugee Day is a reminder that everyone deserves safety, opportunity, and a place to call home.

At Tofino Resort + Marina, we’re proud to be part of the HIRES Program for the fourth year in a row, creating job opportunities for refugee youth and supporting their integration into the Canadian workforce.

Through the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP), skilled refugees can immigrate to Canada and contribute their talents to local businesses like ours.

This year, we continue to focus on what solidarity really means:
- Keeping our doors open
- Celebrating strengths and achievements
- Helping remove barriers
