MAY ROUNDUP! May did the thing again… what we would normally call “shoulder season” turned out to be an extremely productive month of fishing.
With lots of salmon running inside close to home alongside great bottom fishing, even with some strong winds we had some awesome fishing in calm areas.

Great fishing, sunshine, less crowds. Spring in tofino is something special.

Captain of the “Dog Days” .abraham has quickly become a (Billy) 🐐. We can’t thank Neve enough for all that he brings to the waters here in Tofino!

Happy birthday buddy, hope you enjoy it because the chaos of the summer fishing season is about to commence.

Neve is back in the saddle mid May and still has some dates available to book for the 2026 season.

Halibut, lingcod, and rockfish are officially open for 2026. Spring is an incredible time to target bottomfish, with great conditions and fewer crowds.

This white meat is amazing table fare and just as fun to catch. We still have space this spring if you’re looking to get out on the water and avoid the busy summer season.

Springtime on the coast is all about adaptability, working with the conditions and making the most of any time you get on the water.

On here you usually just see the “best days” and biggest catches, but sometimes the reality is rainy days and rough seas. We do our best to work with Mother Nature and make the most of the conditions at hand. This day was a good example of that, with an open mind and a bit of trust it turned into an amazing time on the water, spending the afternoon pulling crab and prawn traps followed by a seafood boil from

It’s this time of year where gear really matters, staying warm, staying dry, and still being able to enjoy it. Grateful for my waterproof Taku jacket and bibs

Simply getting on the water and getting to observe the herring spawn. All the life it brings to the coast, it feels like spring truly arrives when this phenomenon happens annually. And the best part is being able to fish for herring and use this for the upcoming season as bait. It’s like a home opener. It’s not only a special time but so much fun too.

Kicking off the 2026 season this week! Rain or shine you’ll find us rocking the Taku line all season long.

Winter season has arrived, and the traps are back in the water! We’re switching things up this year and continuing charters through the winter — it’s prime time for hauling prawns, crab, and chasing winter Chinook in calm coastal waters.

The boat is in, and we’re taking bookings all season. Call (250)720-5619 to book a private experience or link in bio to learn more!
