Quick travel reality check before the pretty part. Air Canada lost my bag for the entire trip. So I landed with absolutely nothing and had to buy clothes when I arrived because I quite literally had no other option. Not the plan, not the vibe, but somehow it turned into one of those situations that completely worked out in the end.
Which brings me to Hoi An and getting clothes made. Everyone talks about tailoring here, but if you stick to the busiest tourist streets you miss the best part. The quieter, less obvious shops are where the quality, fabrics, and service really stand out. We had most of our pieces made .linenme and it was hands down the best experience. Consistent five star reviews for a reason. People talk about the care, the honesty, the craftsmanship, and I completely agree. No rushing, no upselling, just thoughtful recommendations, beautiful fabric options, and tailoring that actually fits and lasts. The service was calm, kind, and genuinely attentive, even when we had changes or questions.
Between an unexpected new wardrobe courtesy of a missing suitcase and finding a tailor that truly lived up to the hype, it all somehow came together exactly how it needed to.
Would you want to see what we had made?
