Architecture lovers, rejoice! Tohoku is bursting with architectural wonders. 🏯✨

📍 Sendai Daikannon in Miyagi, a great Buddha statue featuring an impressive multi-level interior structure filled with Buddhist statues.

📍 Ouchi-juku in Fukushima, where Edo-period thatched-roof houses line the old Nikko Kaido.

📍 Pagoda of Dewa-sanzan Shrine in Yamagata, a sacred site for mountain worship and spiritual rebirth, long revered by pilgrims and ascetics.

📍 Takayama Inari Shrine in Aomori, known for its striking tunnel of red torii gates leading to the shrine.
