Days 7, 8 & 9: The Grand Finale of an Unforgettable Journey ✨🌍

✨ Day 7: Cologne, Germany 🇩🇪
We arrived in the vibrant city of Cologne, famous for its stunning Cologne Cathedral – a true Gothic masterpiece that towers over the skyline. The city buzzes with history, charm, and a lively riverside vibe.
🌟 That night was one for the books: Disco Night on board! 💃🪩 We busted some moves with the crew and danced for hours, laughing until our cheeks hurt. Pure joy!

✨ Day 8: Rotterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱
Our final full day took us to Rotterdam, one of the most modern and unique cities in Europe. We explored on a bike tour, riding through striking architecture, including the famous Cube Houses 🟨 and the stunning Market Hall – a foodie’s paradise with an incredible ceiling mural. Rotterdam’s mix of innovation and energy was the perfect way to wrap up our adventure.

✨ Day 9: Farewell, Amsterdam 🇳🇱
We flew home from Amsterdam, filled with memories and hearts so full. 💛

🌟 This was truly a trip of a lifetime – castles, cathedrals, bike rides, late nights, laughter, and unforgettable moments with amazing friends. Every stop brought something new and magical, and this adventure will be one we’ll be talking about for years to come.

Day 6: Castles, Countryside & Pure Magic 🏰✨

After a late night out in the pubs of Rüdesheim, we had a very early wake-up call – totally worth it! 🌅 We headed up to the top deck to witness the magical Rhine Gorge. This stretch of the river is absolutely breathtaking, with 30 castles dotting the hillsides on our 4-hour journey. Towering cliffs, quaint villages, and centuries of history all rolled into one – stunning doesn’t even begin to cover it!

We arrived in Koblenz, Germany 🇩🇪 late morning and explored this charming city where the Moselle and Rhine rivers meet. It’s a beautiful mix of old-world history and lively squares, with the impressive Deutsches Eck monument watching over it all.

After lunch, the adventure continued! We hopped on a coach and traveled through the German countryside and along the Moselle River to visit the fairytale-worthy Eltz Castle. 🏰 Hidden deep in the forest, it felt like stepping into a storybook – complete with turrets, bridges, and incredible medieval charm.

And because sleep is overrated, a few of us decided to head back out in Koblenz that night! 🍹 We discovered some fantastic cocktails, soaked up the local nightlife, and made it back to the ship just before it sailed away at 1:00 a.m. 🕐

What a packed day of castles, scenery, adventure, and laughter – and every minute was unforgettable.

Europe just keeps getting better! ✨
Here’s Days 4 & 5 of our unforgettable Emerald Cruises river adventure:

🌟 Day 4: Strasbourg, France 🇫🇷
What a dream! This city felt like stepping into a postcard – half-timbered houses, winding canals, and vibrant squares full of life. We explored the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town and admired the breathtaking Strasbourg Cathedral, one of Europe’s true Gothic masterpieces.
🎶 That night, some attended a memorable concert at the stunning Bruchsal Palace – an evening of elegance and music they won’t forget 😉!

🌟 Day 5: Back to Germany 🇩🇪
We spent the day in the storybook city of Heidelberg, home to Germany’s oldest university. Some of us joined the hiking excursion, trekking through lush greenery to reach the iconic Heidelberg Castle overlooking the city – absolutely worth it!
🌙 That evening, Emerald let us loose in Rüdesheim, and what a night it was! Authentic pubs, Rüdesheim coffee loaded with brandy, and German folk singers who had us clapping, laughing, and dancing the night away. 🎶🍷 Such an unforgettable taste of true German hospitality!

Europe, you’ve officially stolen my heart! ❤️✨
I’m back from my European adventure and incredible river cruise with Emerald Cruises! 🌍🚢
What an unforgettable trip – way too many pictures for one post, so I’ll be sharing them in parts. Here’s Days 1, 2 & 3:

✨ Day 1: We arrived in beautiful Zurich, Switzerland 🇨🇭 and spent the day wandering the charming Old Town – cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and stunning views along the Limmat River. The perfect way to kick off our adventure!

✨ Day 2: We boarded the Emerald Sun, our floating boutique hotel. 🚢💫 Sleek design, spacious staterooms, amazing service, and that indoor pool that turns into a cinema at night – pure magic!

✨ Day 3:
🍰 Morning: Explored Freiburg, Germany, right on the edge of the legendary Black Forest. Tried authentic Black Forest cake (yes, it’s even better here!) and wandered the charming Old Town and its stunning Freiburg Minster.

🚴‍♀️ Afternoon: Hopped on Emerald’s complimentary e-bikes to explore Breisach, Germany – a storybook town with pastel houses, winding streets, and a hilltop cathedral offering amazing Rhine views.

🎶 Evening: Wrapped up the day with unique onboard entertainment – yodeling by Dave!

💛 The sights were incredible, but what truly made this journey unforgettable was sharing it all with amazing friends.

🌞✈️ Sometimes the best trips are the unexpected ones... and that's exactly what happened with our surprise visit to Moon Palace Nizuc in Cancun!

This resort blew me away with it's outstanding service from the moment we arrived. The staff goes above and beyond to make every guest feel like royalty.

🏊‍♀️ Relaxing by the huge resort pool was the perfect way to unwind
🍺 Sipped on some delicious IPA beer at the on-site pub – definitely a rare find down south!
🚲 Explored the grounds with complimentary bicycles
⛳️ Golf lovers – the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course is a must-play
🌊 Thought about getting my adrenaline going on the FlowRider® surf simulator and waterslides
🍷 And the best wine I've had in the Caribbean – hands down!

If you're looking for a resort that has it all – luxury, activities, and top-notch service – Moon Palace Nizuc is one to add to your list!

It is not known for a great beach....but I was surprised! It wasn't bad at all!
