We are delighted to have facilitated the ‘Legislative Processes Government Study Visit to Canada’ for the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria under the inspiring leadership of the Chairman & Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman.

The Study Visit was in collaboration with the Institute on Governance — an institution with remarkable track-record in democratic governance. The objective of the visit was for the delegation to be acclimatized with the legislative processes in Canada, and to this end, they visited Ottawa, Toronto and Niagara Falls.

Meanwhile, at Ottawa, the delegation was taken through the Canada’s Westminister Model of Government & Canada’s Orders of Government and Accountability, flowing with plenary sessions on some sundry issues. In addition, the delegation was enlightened on Canadian’s Judicial System followed by an interactive session on current and future challenges in governance.

At Toronto, the delegation met with several top Government appointed and elected officials and had tours to the City Hall, Queens Park - followed by a reception for them . As a mark to wrap up the visit, the delegation embarked on a trip to Niagara Falls.

Admirably, the delegation, in a message was welcomed by the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Justin Trudeau; the Mayor of Toronto, John Tory and Mayor of Ottawa, Jim Watson.

Notably, the delegation was led by the Chairman & Bauchi State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman who was accompanied by Rt. Hon. Abbas Aminu Iya, Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Ubosi Edward Uchenna, Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Maigari Tasiu Musa, Speaker Katsina State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Okafor Victor Uche, Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly.

Others include Rt. Hon. Williams Etteng Jonah, Speaker Cross River State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Inghobere Abraham, Speaker Bayelsa State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Uba Titus Tyoapine, Speaker Bayelsa State Assembly of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Lawan Abdulkarim, Borno State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Marcus Iziegbeya Onobun, Speaker Edo State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin Adebo Edward, Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Albasu Joseph, Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly and others.

We are thrilled that our organization, OZ Consulting Firm in partnership with the Civil Service College hosted a delegation from the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) led by the Honourable Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu PhD, in a one-week training programme.

The training centered on lessons learnt from the United Kingdom (UK) through their Local Government in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and effective navigation towards a sustainable development in their post-pandemic recovery action.

The overall exercise was greatly applauded for being lucidly engaging — filled with mind-blowing experiences.

His Majesty, Olu of Warri, Ògíamè Atúwàtse III having a tour of the Tsuut'ina Nation’s Museum in Calgary during his official visit to Canada.

With the facilitation of our Firm, the Great Olu of Warri, Ògíamè Atúwàtse III & his wife, Olori Atúwàtse III paid an official visit to Canada for the attraction of foreign direct investment & cultural heritage partnership amongst others.

To this end, upon His Majesty’s arrival, he was well-received by the Tsuut'ina [First] Nation in Calgary, Canada.

The Build-up to our preparation for Olu of Warri’s official visit to Canada, 2022.

Our Executive Program Coordinator, Ms. Abi Goodman ably led the Firm’s team to the palace of the Great Olu of Warri, Ögíamè Atúwätse III — ahead of his official visit to Canada.

Notably, in our brilliant initiative, we had put together an avenue for the Monarch to pay a working visit to Canada, which eventually turned out to be a successful & eventful outing.
