It’s been a long one - how have you all been?
I am happy to say that I am in a good place again after some rough two past years, which included saying goodbye for this life time to close family members, dealing with that pain of knowing someone you love has a terminal illness but learning also that forgiveness and love are the most liberating feelings, especially in the face of absolute disbelief, shock and sadness.
As if feelings weren’t enough - I have also learned that all information we need to process (especially the tough ones) go without doubt through our body as well, causing lots of unpleasant events such as pain, panic attacks (a classic), heavy dreaming / trouble sleeping, anxiety or a general discomfort in your own skin.
Even though I have been practicing Yoga in the past and meditation - I could have never imagined how our bodies have their very own way of dealing with heavy emotions and feelings.
This connection is called somatic intelligence and the good news is that we can use this connection to consciously help our body and nervous system to process information, which makes us become more friendly with our bodies and lessen the fear as well.
