Today, we remember the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

It began on April 9, 1917—and over the course of four harrowing days, thousands of Canadians fought and gave their lives for freedom, for peace, and for a future they believed in.

They stood together on a ridge in northern France in one of Canada’s most pivotal battles—one that would come to define a nation.

Today, we honour their bravery, unity, and sacrifice.
