This panel will focus on the value of parks and public spaces in the context of health and wellness. New York's iconic Central Park was built to ward off tuberculosis in the 1850s. Fast forward to the current pandemic in 2021: how are creative minds thinking about health and wellness in public spaces? This list of creative people and practices are redefining what public spaces, whether under a highway overpass, or reclaiming unused urban space, can look like. Now, more than ever we need insight into how we can safely re-emerge into beautiful and functional outdoor spaces.
