Is there any bird cuter than the puffin? 🐧🧡

Every spring and summer, thousands of these colourful little seabirds return to Ireland’s rugged cliffs and offshore islands.

Seeing them up close is such a joy!

Some of the best places to spot puffins around the island of Ireland include:

📍Great Saltee Island, Ireland's Ancient East
📍Rathlin Island, Northern Ireland
📍Skellig Michael, Wild Atlantic Way
📍The Cliffs of Moher, Wild Atlantic Way
📍Ireland’s Eye, just off the coast of Dublin
📍Horn Head & Tory Island, Wild Atlantic Way
📍Inisturk Island, Wild Atlantic Way

Best time to see them:
Puffins usually arrive from April and stay until early August, with May–July offering the best chance to spot them nesting along the cliffs.

You could spend an entire trip chasing beaches around Donegal and still never find them all... 🌊

Along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, County Donegal is home to remote bays, hidden coves, rolling dunes and long stretches of sand that often feel completely untouched.
Some are known for surfing, others for wild swimming, and some are simply places to stop and stare at the view for a while.

Send this to someone who’d happily spend an entire summer beach-hopping across Ireland. 🏖️

Alpacas, mountain views, and zero rush - this might be the calmest hike in Northern Ireland. 🦙⛰️

At Sperrin Alpacas in County Tyrone, you can take a guided trek through the hills with your own alpaca companion. The walk lasts around 90 minutes and winds through farmland and quiet country lanes, with views across the Sperrin Mountains in every direction.

Before you set off, you’ll get to know the alpacas; grooming, feeding, and learning a bit about their wool. And after the walk? There’s time to unwind with a few crafts, or just hang out and enjoy the stillness of the farm.

It’s a slow, gentle way to see this part of the island, and no hiking experience required.

Drop a 🦙 if you'd rather be here right now!

No signal, no problem. Just the sound of Glen River winding through one of the most magical forests on the island. 🌿

Tollymore Forest Park in County Down is a true escape — easy trails, ancient trees, old stone bridges, and even a few red squirrels if you’re lucky. It’s also got serious screen presence, with scenes from Game of Thrones, Dungeons & Dragons, and even How to Train Your Dragon filmed right here.

Whether you’re here for the fantasy or just the fresh air, it’s the perfect place to slow down, stretch your legs and forget what day it is. And if you’re not ready to head home yet, the Mourne Mountains, Castlewellan Forest Park and the coastal town of Newcastle are all just a short drive away.

No headphones needed — nature’s making the playlist here. 🎧💚

Meditation with a goat? Hiking with a donkey? 🐐🐴

Kinedale Donkeys in County Down, Northern Ireland, offers a different kind of day out. Start with a goat meditation session (yes, that’s a thing!), then head off on their “Trail Through Time” - a 2-hour trek through drumlin farmland, led by your own donkey.

Along the way, you’ll hear how these animals once carried stone, tools and turf across the same paths, generation after generation. After the walk, there’s time to feed and groom the donkeys back at the yard.

It’s beginner-friendly, kid- and pet-friendly, and a great way to connect with Northern Ireland’s countryside rhythms, without rushing a thing.

Tag someone who’d be all in for this kind of countryside adventure. 👀💚

In Ireland, slowness isn't a trend. It's a tradition...☘️

The key to the perfect Ireland getaway? Slow down, stay longer and savour every moment.

In Ireland, the pace is relaxed, the attitude is easy and there’s joy to be found in life’s simple pleasures, from a leisurely train journey along the coast to a gentle cycle on a quiet greenway or a night spent under the stars in a cosy yurt. Because a holiday in Ireland isn’t about rushing. It’s about recharging, restoring and rediscovering the world around you.
