When this traveller set out to retrace the paths of her German childhood – this time with her family by her side – it became a journey none of them would ever forget.

With every village, vineyard, and quiet cobblestone street, memories surfaced. Stories were shared. Generations bonded. From perfectly chosen hotels to deeply personal experiences woven into each day, it was a trip built on care, history, and heart.

Experience Designer Orsolya Kako spent a week exploring the cultural richness and raw beauty of Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Saga and the Goto Islands, a region even most Japanese haven’t been to.

Biking along coastal roads, hiking hidden trails, and diving into local traditions; Orsolya scouted ways to weave this magic into future B&R adventures. Imagine white sand beaches and the freshest sushi imaginable.

And to top it off? A visit to Enowa Yufuin, a hotel so stunning, Orsolya was left speechless (which, trust us, doesn’t happen often).
