🚨 Important Mexico Travel Update for Families 🇲🇽✈️

Mexico is moving forward with a new federal law requiring adults checking into hotels with minors (under 18) to prove their legal relationship to the child. This new measure is designed to help prevent child trafficking.

The law is not yet in effect, and an official start date and exact document list have not been released. However, to ensure smooth future travels, we recommend proactively packing these extra documents:
• Birth Certificates: Bring copies showing parents' names (long form)
• Consent Letters: Carry a notarized parental consent letter if children are traveling with grandparents, other family, friends, or only one parent.
• Legal Documents: Pack official custody or guardianship papers if applicable.

I am tracking these updates closely and will share the official implementation details as soon as they are finalized.
