As a mom, I always found that a week at the pool could do more for my kids’ swimming than months of one-hour lessons.
There’s something about being in the water every day — practising, playing, gaining confidence and suddenly hearing that very exciting…

One simple way to make family travel more enjoyable is to involve the kids before you even leave home. Talk to them about what the journey will be like, look at maps together, explore photos of your destination and let them have a say in some of the activities.

For younger children, you can explain what they might see and hear along the way. For older kids and teens, give them a little more ownership, perhaps let them choose an activity, restaurant or place they'd love to explore, or if you have teens, let them find the shopping hot spots.
