What is First Year Experience? The First Year Experience (FYE) is a peer mentoring program for all first year students coming directly from High School. First year students will be part of a group of 10-12 other mentees. This group will be lead by a mentor (an upper year student) and everyone will be in the same academic program. The program starts on-line over summer, and as Mentees, you will com
e to Humber in September already knowing the people in your mentoring group. The FYE Mentors will connect first year students to everything Humber has to offer: services, information, someone who knows your program and what Humber is all about. Peer Mentors will organize on-line chats, get-togethers at the school, study groups, show you the best ways to get involved and inform you about all of the FYE social activities and events on campus. Mentors are here to make sure you have the easiest transition possible into college life.
