🏌️‍♂️✈️ Someone has to do the research… 😂😂

Ron and Carolyn got a head start on the IAGTO European Conference in Malaga and turned it into a full-on Spain scouting trip for Golf Away Tours — and wow, did Spain deliver.

📍 Stop 1 — Camiral, Catalunya
Home of the 2031 Ryder Cup and every bit worth the hype. The resort is stunning, the practice facilities are genuinely world-class (Ron definitely should’ve used them 😅), and the course is a pure match play gem. Play it before the world shows up.

📍 Stop 2 — Barcelona 🥂🔥
An hour from Camiral and a city that needs zero introduction — Flamenco, incredible food and wine, beaches, the Sagrada Família… We stayed at , perfectly positioned in the heart of the city with a rooftop bar that alone is worth the detour. Skip Barcelona on a Camiral trip and you’re doing it wrong.

📍 Stop 3 — Mallorca ☀️
Sun, beaches, tapas, celebrities, and Castillo Son Vida — a resort that genuinely stopped us in our tracks. Add the white glove local service we’ve lined up and this becomes a no-brainer winter escape. Direct flights to Barcelona + a 30-min hop to Palma = one seamless trip from Canada. March/April timing is perfect to tune up your game before the season kicks off back home.

And Ron’s now in Costa del Sol meeting up with Ben for the conference — so the research continues 😁👍

Two days that pretty much sum up why Portugal keeps earning its place on the list. West Cliffs was flat-out spectacular — the kind of course where you find yourself stopping mid-round just to take in the views. Then Wednesday we made the move south to Lisbon, and the city did exactly what it always does: reminded you that Portugal isn’t just a great golf destination, it’s one of the great travel destinations full stop. History, culture, food — all of it. We spent the day exploring every corner of the city and ended the night at — authentic Portuguese food at its finest, and Ron’s favorite restaurant in
Lisbon. Two brilliant days in the books. Now it’s time for the golf we came here for. The Portuguese lifestyle doesn’t disappoint. 🇵🇹⛳

Golf in the morning. Wine in the afternoon. Medieval cobblestones by evening. Not a bad Tuesday. 🇵🇹
Day 2 with had us at the beautiful Praia D’el Rey, where the course was in top shape and the Atlantic views were doing most of the talking. From there, welcomed us for a winery tour and tasting — big thanks to Ana for the hospitality (and the bottles we couldn’t leave behind 🍷).
We finished the night in the walled town of Óbidos at — traditional Portuguese food, unforgettable atmosphere, and a Golf Away Tours must-do for anyone visiting the region.
The crew earned their sleep tonight. West Cliffs is up tomorrow. ⛳

Everyone’s here. ✈️☀️
The Golf Ontario Portugal adventure officially kicked off Saturday evening at — beautiful weather, open patios, and that first-night buzz when a group trip finally comes to life.
Sunday we celebrated Easter the right way: an incredible round at followed by dinner at in Peniche. Hard to complain about that.
We’re just getting started — still plenty of golf, food, and Portuguese wine ahead. 🇵🇹⛳

Hard to believe the week is done. Athens gave us a perfect finale — the Acropolis, the Parthenon, a walk through the Plaka, a long lazy lunch, and time to just soak it all in. TJ’s sending the group off in style tonight at the closing dinner, and Ron is heading to Lisbon for our Golf Ontario adventure in Portugal.

Greece is well known for having one of history’s greatest cities to tour but as a golf destination it still catches people off guard — and that’s exactly what made this trip so good. Reach out if you want to chat about it - you won’t regret it. ⛳🏛️

The group was maybe a little less bright eyed and bushy tailed today after such an amazing dinner last night (and some post dinner drinks) but we were at it again this morning on the Olympic Academy Course

The Olympic Academy Course is something special. A front nine that warms you up nicely, followed by a back nine that challenges not only your golf game but and also delivers with some of the most stunning views you’ll find anywhere — let alone on a golf course.

We followed that up with another beautiful lunch in the clubhouse, a well-earned afternoon to recharge, and then Da Luigi at Romanos Costa Navarino came through with an Italian feast for dinner that was worth every minute of the wait. A nightcap (or two) wrapped up another unforgettable day.

This place is proving to be the full package. Great golf, incredible food, and views that don’t quit. A great place to vacation and live your best golf life.
