was honored to be a part of the 100th Anniversary Gala of Martyrs' Shrine , celebrating a century of faith, pilgrimage, and spiritual impact in Canada.
The evening brought together an inspiring gathering of Church leaders, including the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, His Excellency Most Reverend Ivan Jurkovič, bishops, Jesuits, clergy, community leaders, elected officials, members of law enforcement, and supporters from across the country.
Among the many memorable moments of the evening was the opportunity to share our table with Msgr. Paul Butnaru, Counsellor of the Apostolic Nunciature, and Rev. Darsving Omar Ehrenzweig Morales. Their insights, experiences, and dedication to serving the Church made for meaningful and inspiring conversation throughout the gala.
The event featured outstanding cultural performances, meaningful fellowship, and heartfelt reflections on the rich history and future of Martyrs' Shrine. It was inspiring to witness so many individuals united in faith and service while celebrating the Shrine's enduring legacy.
A special congratulations to Fr. Paul O'Brien, SJ, and the entire Martyrs' Shrine team for organizing such a remarkable event. Their dedication, vision, and hospitality were evident throughout the evening, creating an experience worthy of this historic milestone.
As Martyrs' Shrine marks 100 years of ministry, prayer, and pilgrimage, we look forward with hope to the generations who will continue to find inspiration and spiritual renewal in this sacred place.
Congratulations on a century of faith, service, and pilgrimage. May the next hundred years continue to touch hearts and bring people closer to Christ
