OMCA (The Ontario Motor Coach Association) is one of the largest travel and tourism-related associations in Canada, and the voice of private sector bus operators, inter-city bus lines, charter and coach tour companies in Ontario. Motor coach travel and tourism generates hundreds of millions of dollars per year in economic activity, making it one of the most important sectors in the tourism industry in North America. OMCA has over 1100 members and represents more than 75 bus operators, over 100 tour operators and some 800 affiliated sellers to the group tour industry including attractions, destinations, hoteliers and retail outlets across North America.

Did you know that motor coach travel generated $4.4 billion in total economic activity in Canada?

According to the 2025 Motor Coach Economic Impact Study, the industry supported nearly 25,000 jobs, generated $1.5 billion in wages and salaries, and contributed approximately $980 million in government tax revenues.

The impact goes far beyond transportation! Motor coach travellers support restaurants, hotels, attractions, recreation businesses, retailers and local transportation providers, helping communities and businesses thrive across the country.

These numbers highlight the significant role motor coach travel plays in Canada's economy and tourism industry.
