When you travel internationally with kids, your checked luggage carries everything
Bags get delayed, lost, or mislabeled at the airport.
And when it does, the airline will ask you: what does your bag look like? What was inside?
If you don't have answers, you're starting from zero.
If you're in Canada, you may have seen the news out of Toronto this week. Airport workers were caught switching luggage tags, placing bags under travelers' names without their knowledge. Another reason to document everything before your checked bag leaves your hands.
As a frequent traveler mom, I do these things every time and you should too
- Film your bag at check-in so you have proof of what you handed over
-Use colored bags or suitcase cover because everyone has a black suitcase and you need to describe yours fast
- Use a luggage tracker so you know exactly where your bag is
- Keep your baggage receipt until you get home (you need the tracking number)
- Put contact info inside so the airline can reach you
- Know what's inside because they will ask you
Save this before your next international travel.
