Sad to see you go my good friend, but I know that sleep better in a new house. If I only have all the money in the entire world, I would have kept you but because I don’t use you any more since my retirement and also I could use the extra cash to pay for the movers to our new house this December, I’m sorry that I have to let you go 🥲 at least I’ll still get to see you one of this day because now you belong to a friend 😄

Finally taking the time to revamp my equipment list so I can sell off everything as I’m taking an indefinite hiatus or simply just retiring from the location sound business. accept if I get a call to do a sequel of rurouni kenshin then I’ll think about it (which these wish full thinking are just impossible) . Didn’t realise I have a redonkcoulous amount of gear that I need to list! 🤣 it’s like a bloody shop it self!

Man ooo man am I in trouble, by the rate Im going I think I’ll only be done after 2-3 weeks with no interruptions. my wife is currently using this room as her office so I can’t just come in and out when ever I like especially during her zoom meetings which is mostly a full day zoom call 😅 and also it saddens me to make this list as i know I’m ready to part with all the gear I’ve accumulated over the decade, so I need to take it slowly because it is one of the main triggers of my depression 🥲

But as most of you in the location sound world can see that even by a glimpse of the picture you know that I’ve spent at least or more then 100k CAD worth of location sound stuff. So if any of you bright souls are an aspiring sound mixer with out gear, broker, or retail shop owners that rents or resells used gear then here is you opportunity to purchase a bundle of gear at 45% of the price of the retail. Im trying to sell the whole bulk for 45k CAD, negotiable with a fair price but low ballers will be rejected ASAP. Locals in Ontario are welcome to view at my house, or those who are seriously interested but not in Ontario (other side of the globe) we can arrange for a zoom meeting.

Re-cell 3 of my dead vmount battery (green batteries are the old cells and the pink ones are new). I just want to see if I still have it in me servicing my own equipment and also I’m going to bundle it together with all my gear when I sell it.

My lost, your gain to whom ever is purchasing my whole inventory. I think that’s it no more tinkering with with the old toy, as much as it saddens me it’s time to make a full list as my old friend deserves a new home.

Wooohooo finally after 7 months of being in this new country, 3 months of work and 2 rejection, as they say third times the charm!!! Officially an IATSE boom operator permittee!!!

This is a dream come true as I’ve always dreamt about being part of this established union since the day that I shifted doing front of house and post production sound into doing location sound full time 12-13 years ago. I honestly never thought a person born and raised in the island of Borneo, situated half way around the world from Canada would ever stand a chance to be part of this Hollywood union.

Many thanks to Voice (superstar sound mixer 🤣)for taking a chance on me being in his team and who introduced me to his guru none other then the legend him self, Mister Michael LaCroix, (sound mixer for all the “Suits” series and also, 1980’s film “The Fly”) which I was fortunate enough and was an honour to have work with him the last 2 weeks of April,2021. Now this amazing veteran not only backed up my application but also, believed in my capability that I’m a right candidate for IATSE not to mention that he went trough the trouble to get some of the committee to re-assess my application ❤️ I feel blessed to have encountered these amazing people in my life!
