Our staff is dedicated to showing you the best whales that our area has to offer including fin, humpback, s***m, minke, orca, and pilot whales. You may expect to see various species of dolphins, porpoises, eagles, offshore birds including puffins and northern gannets. We have over 25 years of experience taking clients to view whales in this area. Each trip will have a maximum of 11 passengers.

Fun trips on the bay today with 1 minke whale, 12 white sided dolphins, schools of bluefin tuna, bald eagles, pufflings, gannets, guillemots and murres!

The white sided dolphins delighted our morning trip with some close-up people watching — we think they were just as curious about us as we were about them!

The afternoon trip had a sneaky minke whale make an appearance, while the feeding bluefin tuna continued to put on quite a show.

Another great day on the water! 🐋

Who said whale season ends in August? Not the whales!

Here in Trinity, we see whales year-round. Throughout September and October, we’re still regularly seeing whales on our tours, along with harbour porpoises, dolphins, sunfish, tuna, seabirds and more.

Fall brings a different kind of magic to the water. Fewer crowds. Changing colours along the coast. Crisp days at sea. And plenty of marine life still out there to discover.

So if you’re planning a fall trip to Newfoundland, don’t cross whale watching off your list just yet.

We’ve had some great trips over the last couple of days with a total of 1 minke whale spotted, along with schools of bluefin tuna, 1 ocean sunfish, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots, murres....and a VERY large yellow bird (helicopter) known as a cormorant!

We were lucky enough to see a Search and Rescue team from 103 Squadron, 9 Wing Gander, running training exercises during Tuesday’s trip. We are so grateful to have this incredible team working in our area and keeping our communities safe. ❤️

Wednesday’s trip was lucky enough to have a minke whale make an appearance, adding another special moment to our day.

The marine scenery here never ceases to amaze us, and the bluefin tuna feeding frenzies continue to impress our guests! There's something pretty spectacular about watching these powerful fish tearing through the water as they feed.

The whales may be keeping us guessing, but there is always something amazing happening out on the bay! 🐋

Wow! What a storm that was yesterday! Thankfully, the wind dropped out overnight, and it was lovely and calm out there today.

The whales were elusive, but we still had wonderful trips filled with schools of bluefin tuna, beautiful waterfalls, caves, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots, murres, Manx shearwaters and even a rainbow! 🌈

After a wild day yesterday, it was pretty special to enjoy the calm and take in all the beauty the bay had to offer.

Looking forward to getting out there again tomorrow. 🐋

Had a lovely day on Bonavista Bay today with 1 minke whale, schools of bluefin tuna, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, Manx shearwaters, northern fulmars and Arctic terns.

There’s a bit of a storm on the way, bringing high winds and some rain to the area tomorrow. We’ll be back out on Monday and will be looking forward to seeing what changes the storm has brought into the bay!

Who knows what might be waiting for us when we get back out there? 🐋

🎶 Guess who’s back, back again? The humpbacks are back, tell your friends! 🎶 🐋

Today we had a total of 2 humpback whales, 1 minke whale, 4 ocean sunfish, schools of bluefin tuna, bald eagles, gannets, guillemots, murres, and sooty shearwaters.

Today’s humpbacks weren’t quick matches, so we’ll be starting the process of manually matching them against our catalogue. If we find any previous sightings, we’ll make a second post with their history!

We’re also seeing more and more pufflings out on the water. The nesting season is definitely winding down for our puffins, and the youngsters are beginning to make their way out into the big blue world.

It’s always exciting to see who shows up next! 🐋

A terrific day on Trinity Bay today with 3 minke whales, schools of feeding tuna, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres.

We also had sightings of an ocean sunfish today. We were surprised to find a juvenile northern harrier at the puffin nesting colony today. Hope it was just passing through and not looking for a puffin for lunch! 🐋
