Beautiful Bonavista Bay delivered another fantastic day on the water! We were treated to 2 icebergs, 1 minke whale, 1 humpback whale, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots, and murres.

Today's humpback whale was particularly exciting. After checking our catalogue, we were unable to find a match. The whale appears to be a young individual, so we'll be submitting its fluke photographs to the North Atlantic humpback whale catalogue and to our friends on the breeding grounds to see if they recognize it.

Every whale has a story, and we're looking forward to learning more about this mystery visitor! 🐋

Fun trips today on both Bonavista Bay and Trinity Bay! We were treated to 3 icebergs, 1 minke whale, herds of harp seals, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots, and murres. Every trip brings something different, and today was a perfect reminder of just how much wildlife is gathering along our coast right now. Thanks to everyone who joined us on the water for another great adventure! 🐋

A lovely day on Trinity Bay today! We enjoyed sightings of one iceberg, a humpback whale putting on a feeding show with some impressive lunge feeding, along with bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots, and murres. With calm seas and plenty of wildlife, it was another great day on the water! 🐋

Another beautiful sunny day on Bonavista Bay! We enjoyed two icebergs in Keels, along with bald eagles, puffins, guillemots and murres.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing the herring arriving to spawn along the shoreline, turning the water a spectacular tropical turquoise colour. It's one of those unique Newfoundland sights that always stops us in our tracks.

The whales were a little elusive today and kept their distance, but that's all part of the adventure. With the herring arriving in the area, we're hopeful for some exciting whale encounters in the days ahead.

Nature always finds a way to put on a show, even when the whales choose to stay hidden! 🐋

Our new 2026 apparel designs have started to arrive!

This year, we're bringing back and refreshing some old favourites, and the first design to land is one that holds a special place in our hearts.

Created by our friend, the late Hale Allen, this graphic was originally designed for us when we first opened our business in 2009 and appeared on our very first apparel order. What began as a beautiful line drawing has been reimagined for 2026, now featuring the whales in stunning full colour on both the left chest and back.

Available in ultra-soft 100% cotton t-shirts and crew neck sweaters, these comfortable classics are perfect for whale lovers and adventure seekers alike.

A tribute to where we started, and a celebration of the whales that continue to inspire us every day. We think these just might become your new favourite shirts, too! 🐋

Finally, a little break from the weather! Light winds and even a few patches of blue sky made an appearance today, giving us a beautiful day on the water. We spotted three humpback whales, one iceberg, and plenty of seabirds, including bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots, and murres.

We also had our first Rock the Boat Geology Tour of the season, exploring the incredible landscapes and geological history that make this coastline so unique.

Whales, icebergs, wildlife, and geology—all in one day. Not a bad way to start June!🐋

There was snow in the forecast this morning, but it didn’t deter our adventurers one bit! As it turned out, the snow never arrived, and we enjoyed another wonderful day on Trinity Bay.

The stars of the show were humpback NA-1377 and her calf, who have been hanging around since May 19th. Mom has been treating us to some fun trap-feeding behaviour. She'll sit patiently with her mouth open near the cliffs while the fish she was chasing hit the rock face and turn back toward open water—right into her waiting jaws! It must be an effective strategy because she’s been feasting in the area for weeks.

Our resident iceberg has also undergone a dramatic makeover. One face now looks almost pixelated, like something straight out of Minecraft. Icebergs never stop surprising us!

We also spotted a minke whale, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots, and murres, making for another fantastic day on the water. 🐋
